Amongst the many irritants of this morning, Amazon.

"We thought you'd like Fender hoodies or T-Shirts"... Why? Why did you think that?

I have never bought any form of clothing from Amazon. I have never bought any Fender product from Amazon. So tell me, Jeff Amazon, where in the name of algorithms did you conclude that this is what I might even like, let alone buy!

I get the same alert. Itll be loosely related to something you bought or even just browsed. In my case guitar strings and plectrums, none of which are Fender related.

The initial diagnosis was the bearings. Then he took the belt off, the belt was goosed, and it ran without noise. Put the new belt on, no noise. I'd have been happier had he said 'I'll change the belt and bearings at the same time', I suspect they are the originals so 30yrs or so. It's the extra faff which is irritating.

It's also bloomin cold without this heater on so we had two days of cold, now we have a day of warmth but irritating racket.

Bit naive of the fitter, he should have realised once he took the belt off the bearing was no longer under load.

It never fails to amaze me how TFL staff cannot grasp that Moorgate is both a tube station and a London terminal. I use digital tickets and so many times they treat me like a I'm trying a fare dodge as I have a cambs to London terminals ticket and jump on the mog train at Finsbury Park.

Not just a storm but a process known as explosive cyclogenesis. The pressure will fall 24 millibars (or more0 in a 24 hour period.

My only irritation is that they're still in business.

And so it happened. The top bosses again escape serious scrutiny and the 1,500 odd people 'he was acting on their behalf' don't get their moment. Ah well.

Thing is if he'd gone full trial and won but won damages that were less than the Sun offered in pre-trial settlement, he would have been liable for both sides costs. Lawyers are not cheap.

Delivery arriving today that I have to give a PIN for. The irritation is that I had no notice that it was coming today, can't rearrange or have it delivered to my neighbour and now can't go to the gym as the times clash.

The silence is worse. I hate watching sport without sound. I'm not that interested in the match/result to be irritated by the sound effects
