People pushing buggies around bluewater while immersed in their phone
Poured a lovely ultra clear resin in to a large void in a walnut slab on Saturday. Was tacking up nicely yesterday, micro dust extractors running full tilt to keep the workshop and the resin dust free...
Go out to check on it this morning and a fly has landed on the tacky resin and got itself stuck! That's going to set me back a day or two fixing that. Bloody flies.
Wouldn't work on the 1.8m French doors on the workshop. The fly must have gotten in through the window vents, which on one MUST stay open due to fumage in an active workshop. All you need is couple of 3x2s, 3 hinges, a bit of net curtain and some paint.
I hate flies so I have 2 of these for the summer.....front and back door wide open and fly doors firmly shut.

It's like they know. Some fly conspiracy. Not as bad as yours but I decided to paint some skirting boards outside at the weekend, I didn’t consider that it would attract every flying insect known to man![]()
Shop local for a better service?Mildly irritating as I've paid for the new washing machine to arrive by 12 as mother in law is waiting for me
Says will be here 09:45 -11:45
We are delivery 6 on the truck
Now we are east London
The vans in Wales lol it can't get here physically by 12
Called AO they think the tracking been assigned to wrong order as first drop on our van is 2 miles away
Let's hope![]()

You’ll be surprised how quick some locals can be. I know 2 (1 in South London, 1 in East London) that often do same day delivery and installation, but people assume they can’t and won’t.If I didn't need it today I would have. Needs must
Anyways the correct can is now assigned to the tracker
Can't really fault the service just funny.

Bought some wall mounts for my new speakers but they don’t swivel enough to use as rear surrounds
Time for a rethink![]()
I got these for out in the workshop and, due to the space next to the lumber racks, one of them is at about a 65 degree angle and looks like it has even more room. Got a set of Wharfedale Diamond 9s on them to a little Denon DM41 and they sound superb, no vibration through the brackets in to the wall at all.
They are heavy duty though, but they look decent enough. The only potential issue with any side clamping bracket though is the 3010's having curved corners but if the side clamps are high enough they should still grip.
Looking at the reviews, someone has 3010s in them and the look ok.Yeah I saw those but I’m not sure if they’d clamp the speakers, I’d have to measure them first. I can mount one on the side wall the but other is a problem, I’m thinking of maybe bolting an angle bracket to the wall then fix the mount to that, I’m worried it may look ugly though.
Other option is some really tall stands (around 1.6m I’m guessing), there are some really nice ones out there and I need to stop looking![]()
My Mrs is the Queen of doing this......rarely, if ever, finishes something. Has to start a new one.Rest of the family not throwing out empty packets/packaging, leaving them in cupboard. Even worse, leaving dregs in a bags (frozen veg, chips, tomatoes, etc.) and cracking open a fresh one.
That must have been one hell of a trolley jack....Sat on plane for an hour at Heathrow waiting for everyone to get on. Just start rolling back to taxi to runway and the pilot makes an announcement that he has a caption telling him that one of the tyres is flat. 45 minutes delay while the grubbers change the wheel.
Worst bit is having to get all the luggage out so that they can get to the spare wheel. That must have been one hell of a trolley jack....
