Those figures are a bit screwy, pharmacy temps are not to be trusted. A quick Google says the top temp in Spain ever is either 47.8 in 1976 or 47.6 in 2021.
The hottest temperature ever recorded on earth is 56.7, death valley in 1913.

Temperatures are always shown/forecast in weather reports as shade temperatures - remember the old Stephensonās screen.

The outside sensor I have is always in the shade, currently showing 29*, up from 27* in the last 15 mins. I have another outside sensor that catches the sun from mid afternoon onwards. It often nudges 50* through late July/Aug. We, personally, can cope up to around 35* comfortably providing the humidity is reasonably low.
A council worker in Sevilla died working in 53* of heat a few years back. That was āin the sunā temperature. Pharmacies have the sensor incorporated in the outside shop sign, often in the sun.
