Random Irritations

The way that 'keep clear' markings on the road do not apply to people coming out into the traffic. Sat there for ages this morning as a car decided to block traffic coming out of a Macdonalds by sitting in the keep clear zone with no gap in the traffic coming the other way whist blocking 2 lanes of traffic with an empty road ahead.

Without having seen it, I am more inclined to blame the traffic coming the other way for not letting the car into the flow, just slow down for a couple of seconds and let them in!

Don't you know thats the equivalent of a red carpet for those gorging on Mc'D's

I took a bite of one back that someone bought me in 1988 I think it was. Never finished the mouthful, and have never been in a McD. I lie, I went into one once in Florida and had a coffee. That was OK (y)

I will say the American McD’s is way better than the UK one

We have a McDonalds about a mile from us, and the people queuing to go through the Drive-Thru block everyone who wants to go past into the retail park. And don't get me started about Drive-Thru's. What's wrong with parking and walking in?

There's one McD here in the city center with a walk-thru. Literally a serving window onto the pavement for pedestrians to order etc without going into the building! o_O

It's the same at our nearest retail park, McDonalds right by the entrance. Always a gridlock, particularly on the way out.

It's a special kind of laziness to think "no, I'm not going to park up and walk in, I'll save a 20 yard walk even if it means sitting in my car for the next 20 minutes"

Not sure about yours but you could never park at the one I drive past as the car park is full on Just Eat and Uber Eats drivers doing collections.

The car parks are usually pretty tight so it is often easier just to sit in the queue, get your food and then drive somewhere else to eat it. If there is plenty of space I'll walk in, if it is busy in the car park, I'll go drive thru.

The trouble with the drive thru‘s is the abundance of food wrapping that seems to be in abundance in the near vicinity of the drive thru. Eat in store, and most of it goes in the bins in store. Buy from a drive thru and most of it gets dumped for everyone else to deal with.

Sadly, that's just ignorance. Mine goes back in the paper bag, sits in the footwell of the car and is put in a bin at home or our destination. Littering is for morons, I can't understand the selfishness of people who do it.
