Random Irritations

We have been given 3 sets of wind chimes over the years, each one is lovely. We live in the NE of England for heavens sake though. It would be like a full orchestra for 3/4 of the year :oops:. I have 2 hung up in the garage, one in the shed. Just out of the way so that you hear a gentle melody when you brush past them, not in the way enough to be an irritation.

Having them outside, constantly chiming is selfish. Methinks a midnight walk with a pair of scissors is required :ROFLMAO:

This is how we know God was not a woman. If he was all trees would be created with Wind Chimes, Lights and plastic crap on them. As per Missis Ts trees on the back garden.

My house and contents insurance is due for renewal next week and the renewal is £100 more than last year - just short of £400 to just short of £500.

I normally just stay with same, as cost is usually about the same and I can’t be bothered hunting around for sake of 10s of ££s. But I can’t ignore £100. Anyone else experiencing big increases in H&C insurance?

Not to that extent. I must admit I change all my insurance providers annually. Renewal premiums are always more expensive than searching elsewhere.

Last year my car insurance renewal was eye watering. I went online and the cheapest online quote, which was only a few quid higher than the previous year, was with the same provider. I took the next best quote on principle! When I phoned to reject the renewal even the lady at the other end was at a loss to explain why the renewal quote was so expensive.

Just got my renewal notice. Last year £153.52. This year £168.54. Hmmm. £15 increase. Might not bother to negotiate. Nearest confuse the meerkat could do was £198ish but they didn't include Home Emergency and Home Legal cover which my existing provider does. Golf equipment cover incl up to £2,500 plus other sports equipment.

Is there a "smug" emoji anywhere? ;)

Having the most bizarre dreams.

My last 2 have been;

- having a weight loss bet with Phil Mitchell from Eastenders

- becoming world champion morris dancer

I swear on my daughters life that apart from my anti depressions, I haven’t been taking drugs

I have no idea why it’s so expensive…though I guess the value of my house means rebuild cost of my 3 bed semi is going to be higher than most other areas of the UK. I’ve got nothing out of the ordinary in respect of cover.
