Random Irritations

I’m flying to South Africa on Thursday. Will travel in shorts/tshirt/light jumper & trainers. Stuff wearing longs just for the plane trip (never wear longs over there) I can bear to be cold on the tube for an hour rather than take jeans/chinos which won’t be used

Hope you're not flying BA, they always seem to be freezing in the cabin, even when wearing jeans/layers (& don't get me started on their obsession with shoving mushrooms in every meal!)

Old people concerning themselves with what other people spend their money on. Mind your own business.

And, ex military people feeling the need to tell everyone they were once in the military. In a meeting yesterday one such type started every sentence with “When I was in the army”. No one cares mate.

My irritations are two-fold this morning.

1. Got on the train this morning and immediately hear that the train is delayed because of 'trespassers on the tracks'.

2. Royal Mail are delivering something today, nobody is home, so I checked to see if I can put delivery instructions in online. You can, but it asks you to pick a new delivery date. I don't want that, I just want to say you can leave it round the side gate. Even Evri lets you do that but Royal Mail can't manage it?? It takes them 24 hours to read a simple delivery instruction so you have to change the date to accommodate?? I guess I'll leave it then and take my chances with it being left on the doorstep or with a neighbour who'll remember to bring it back in a week's time.

When I was in the military, I hated non military people moaning about those who used to be in the military :ROFLMAO:

Had planned to go to a farm shop this morning with a bit of breakfast/lunch as well.
The wife unfortunately is not feeling great so decided she is going to stay in.

Not sure what to do with my day now?

I played golf yesterday and feeling my back this morning so ruled that out.

Half term, for some reason kids think it's good to go messing on the railway or thieves looking to steal cable. Trains have to run at caution.
I get your frustration it annoys me as well but protocols have to be followed

I would still go to the farm shop - love a farm shop breakfast. Roll on Saturday when I go for my next one :)

But this 👆 is the correct solution to your problem.

Go alone have a coffee or two with a nice breakfast and enjoy the solitude of your own company as the world goes by. I did exactly this on Monday morning it was wonderful.

I have been told I’m not allowed she wants to go when she feels better.
Went and got a haircut and shave and now enjoying a pint watching the world out the window.
Steak and kidney pudding been ordered
