Kid ran into a car yesterday here, and they want to blame the driver....what a joke.while out walking the dogs last night, heard a loud noise some littler herber riding an ebike at about 60 down lane, its a 20 zone. wearing black no light. didnt stop at the junction then went the wrong way up a one way street at full pelt.
these people are morons
Oh, NAD. The 3020 was a legendary amp.Rega Planar deck from a workshop in Chew Magna. Sorry, the NAD amp obviously wasn't but the Hifi shop had a NAD expert who was delighted by it _ early 80's.
Pre service I was told that if the hydraulics had gone in the RP I'd be better off buying a new model.
I said that would not be an option. It'd be a repair.
Luckily, all turned out well.
You've found the ideal solution to the dilemma.I ended up between last night and this morning wrapping over 100 presents,
I have also labelled them but given them a number rather than a name and in a book wrote what each present is alongside the corresponding number.
Now just got to write who it’s for on the label.
I’m sitting here this morning with a mix of feeling smug and wondering what’s the thing I’ve missed that’s going to mean I’ll have to unwrap and re wrap them all
After moving to this house 29 years ago, with my hifi equipment stored in my garage in original packing, with the polystyrene packing, last year I said to my wife "That stuff will stay there 'til I die".
A few days later I took it to a hifi specialist and had it all serviced.
The staff were mesmerised by the fact it was in original packing with receipts inside and one of the technicians came down to see me and reckoned he probably helped to construct the deck and amp in a workshop in Chew Magna in the 80's.
It's now in operation in an upstairs bedroom with my vinyl collection.
Underused, but not boxed and hidden in a dark, damp garage.
I thought a delay was kept in place to help fight money launderingIt still massively irritates me that, when you buy something, money goes out of your account within a second but a refund takes 2 to 3 days.....
You're pressing buttons..it should come back in at the same speed ot goes out...
If that's the case then there has to be a better way than making a criminal wait a couple of days for his ill gotten gains...I thought a delay was kept in place to help fight money laundering
Well, I was told there is. In the rise/fall action of the cartridge arm. This from a very high end outlet specialising in Rega Planar.Oh, NAD. The 3020 was a legendary amp.
Nytech was a different bunch. Their factory was in Chew Magna. Their little amps were also excellent.
I never had a Rega Planar, but am pretty certain there was no hydraulics in them.
Well, it was good, but the model they all reckoned was the Linn Sondeck.Well, I was told there is. In the rise/fall action of the cartridge arm. This from a very high end outlet specialising in Rega Planar.
My stance was that I was not going to put an 80's model, that they swooned over, in a skip. It would have remained original whatever.
Can't you do what I used to when bombarded with requests/demands for responses from every level above me?After weeks upon weeks of not being busy at all at work, I suddenly have over 1600 documents issued at one time, when I'm three days leave from Thursday. Just for context, even 500 documents would be considered a busy day. And I have tomorrow to clear these now.
I blame design managers and project managers giving all the consultants the same bloody deadlines for document issues without thinking about the person who has to check them all at once.![]()
And just after I posted this, nursery called and said my daughter had a massive diarrhea incident, and she is not allowed to attend tomorrow (this is their policy on tummy bugs). So I have to look after her tomorrow as well as my wife has a conference. What incredible timing. After weeks upon weeks of not being busy at all at work, I suddenly have over 1600 documents issued at one time, when I'm three days leave from Thursday. No it doesn't work like that. I'm the first stage of the document review process, so I have to do my part then forward them onto the next stage. Can't you do what I used to when bombarded with requests/demands for responses from every level above me?
I'd print them off and bung 'em in my briefcase. Every week or so I'd get them out, usually of an evening, sift through them quickly and ask "Consequences?"
Answer 90% of time "None. Shred".
The other 10% you could wing.
I was not alone.
26? I thought current iOS and iPadOS was 18.6IOS 26
iPhone fine
iPad absolutely
Both the models from the same year.
We kept all my daughter’s teeth and presented them to her husband as part of my ‘father of the bride’ wedding speech. I think I said something along the lines of “If I’m to give away my daughter, you have to take all of her.”Daughters first tooth fell out today, only it happened whilst eating a carrot stick at school and guess what…..she swallowed the tooth and the carrot.
I wanted to keep her baby teeth, I’m now sat deciding whether I want to fish it out when the time comes.
