Random Irritations

I too live outside the U.K. and received the proof of life letter in Feb. I rang than and went through a few security/proof of life questions there and then = sorted.
Bully for you. I naively thought that they meant it when they said - " You MUST send the certificate. If we do not get your form back within 16 weeks, your payments may stop.". The whole point of my post is the absence of a simpler and easier method - the option of a phone call is absent.

Bully for you too. The whole point of my post was to show it can be done over the phone. Next time I won’t bother trying to offer a different option.

Scan and email it over?
Thats surely just as valid.

If this boy says 6 7 one more time he's going up for adoption.
MrsA is a secondary school teacher. She asked me yesterday about 6 7 because kids are using it in designs at school.
I had to Google it. Didn't realise the middle-class 14-year-old kids of Herts and Essex were so wrapped up in thug life.

Okay, I've just googled it. I read it as a nonsense thing, it doesn't mean anything. As it doesn't mean anything it can then be used for everything 🤪.

I'm feeling old 😞
Ffs. Now I've just googled it again and seen the nonsense you're obviously seeing. Yesterday the first link took me to information about a violent south London street gang and drill group.
Better tell MrsA it's probably a reference to the US yoof nonsense rather than the London lot before she gets some kid excluded. 🤣

@RichA heck, I'm as much in the dark here as you 🤷. It sounds as though it can be interpreted lots of ways. What you read is probably correct, same as what I read is. It's all encompassing so it depends on the context of who and how it's being used.

Let's imagine it's the nonsense aspect, not the sinister stuff 😊

I have not got the foggiest what you are all talking about.

Should I let Google be my friend or just continue to live in blissful ignorance?
