If you had got off at Clapham Junction, you could have got the southern service direct to Watford Junction and from there you can get to any station in HertfordshireTried travelling by train for the first time in about a decade today. Needed to get from Waterloo to Euston. Tube strike, of course, so attempted taking a bus (no. 68)
First 68 arrives. "Only going as far as Aldwych, another will be along soon".
Few minutes later another 68 arrives with Euston on the destination board. Get on. At Aldwych, driver announces he stops here, everyone off.
Wait for the next one. Another 68 approaches, with Euston displayed. 100 yards before it arrives, destination changes to Aldwych.
So decide to walk (in the rain), along the 68 route. At no time did a 68 bus go past.
You'd think that when there's a tube strike on, TFL would try their best to run a usable bus service. This is why people don't use public transport.
I did that same journey on Monday
