Most modern devices and applications come with built-in spell checkers. In fact you can probably find it in Settings/Spelling
If you're using a word processor like Microsoft Word or Google Docs, they typically have spell check features enabled by default. Additionally, web browsers like Chrome, DuckDuckGo and Firefox also include spell check functionality for text fields.

Car insurance is a farce the multiple quote system is not adhered to and they also have a link to rental companies, if they don’t own them. The whole business needs to be audited and trimmed back.

Went to our local theatre last night, Springsteen tribute band. Really good night, but £7.25 for a pint of Moretti! Am all for supporting local venues, but that’s ridiculous.

It’ll be an important source of income for them. Some venues (especially small local ones) will require an act to have a break in the performance as in the break they can sell drinks to the audience. No break..no booking.

I don't go to gigs, but I do go to the odd theatre event and even the Theatre Royal in Newcastle doesn't charge that much. I have a good idea where @rudebhoy went and that is way out of kilter.

Central heating in Sept …
Pleasantly cool for us this morning but we needed the aircon on into the wee small hours. Evenings have been uncomfortable recently, though the temps have only been around 27* the humidity has been around 80%.

Our athletics teams vests in the World Champs.
Some of the team are wearing exactly the same as the USA team, blueish and stripey and some are wearing a dark blue patterned affair, again very similar to the US alternative vest. Why do we need two different ones and why is one exactly the same as the US’s. Isn’t the point of national vests/kits to be able to distinguish between countries?

Boiler is off, no power, no lights, nothing. Plumber is due tomorrow and based on my description and pictures it sounds like the PCB has died. Hopefully he can fix it tomorrow or Tuesday. No fun being without hot water.

The immersion was taken out years ago, no loss really.
We've been over to the SiL just now for showers. It's not ideal but that's a back up for a few days.
My golf club has a couple of showers but I've never known anyone use them. I'd look a right mug if I rolled up to have a shower and discovered they were basically ornaments waiting to be pulled out
