Random Irritations

Had a lovely day yesterday. However one very annoying end was the car wash. Should have driven further down the road and used the one that I did before as turns out the closer one A costs more and B claims they don't take card.

Luckily NatWest and RBS so emergency cash codes via the app as I don't carry cash or debit card where possible

They don't tell you until you go to pay either. Have a sign up you tax dodgers

Up and over garage doors.
Just been assaulted by Dad's again.
Changed ours for side opening doors years ago - so much safer, better and more practical.

In the afternoon at work we have R2, Trevor Nelson show, on. He has fitted in well, all good. The irritation is his quiz, where you have 5 x 1 second clips of songs by the same artist. You have to guess who they are. Bloomin ridiculous. So far, I've guessed two correctly and he's been doing it for nearly two months now. Not been close on the others. I swear that most days he gets the production crew or friends to ring in with the answer, I'm not having it that people actually guess it correctly.

Read a title in my newsfeed ... (i paraphrase)... " No impact on state sector of private school VAT"... basically saying that the doomsday scenario of private students moving to state sector has not happened. It is classic clickbait and Obviously the writer/bot has not realised
1) The VAT was increased mid-term, so parents wont/cant move till the year finishes.
2) Sacrifice parents have to make has other impact... e.g. cars, holidays, 2nd job, change in mortgage etc.

The impact will be seen from September onwards. Feel very sorry for those children who have learning difficulties, their parents have sacrificed a lot to give them the education they need, which simply isn't available in state schools. A large amount will have no choice but to pull their children out and send them to a state school.

It's 2025 and in Excel I still can't filter to a group of a cells, and then paste into all those cells without it also pasting into the hidden cells in between! Why haven't they fixed this yet??

I think you can… you should not paste to the whole row.. just to the cells

It is a pity that 'no politics' prevents thoughts that might not be fully aligned with this. It's OK to agree - but not to disagree in whole or in part as that would be deemed debate - and debate on such matters can only have a political flavour - whether it is intended to have or not.
