The automated manual transmission gearbox in the Hyundai i10.

Got a couple to deliver tomorrow and, even though they are brand new cars, from bitter experience I know they are hideous to drive.

Got my neck brace ready.
I had the Citroen Nemo with that type of box - never again.
When I bought the next car a 1 year old Peugeot 308 I could have bought a pre-reg 3008 for less money but turned it down because t had that box

Sorry, I'm feeling stupid here. Is it not just an automatic then? I'm not grasping the manual aspect of it.
From my understanding it is like an actual gearbox but gear changes are actuated by electric motors. One of the problems I initially had driving it was realising that it does not hold on slopes and had to be held on the brake it took away one of the reasons I drive autoboxed cars which is to avoid using my left foot.

I know that language usage mutates, but (in the context of products) why the hell has the meaning of the word "drop" completely reversed?
It used to mean "discontinued", and now it appears to mean "introduced". Confuses me every time I see it.

Calling a company and entering/speaking loads of security questions before talking to an advisor, who then asks the same questions to check who you are. What is the point of the automated check which always takes a few goes to get through as you aren't speaking in a way it can understand.
