Amazon Prime.
We resumed watching a show that we’d started a while ago so we wanted to see the first two episodes again. Why is there no way to watch an episode from the start if you’ve already watched it 🤷🏻‍♂️
Somehow got episode 1 to work by rewinding for ages but episode 2 it instantly shows the screen where you click to view the next episode, press any other button like rewind etc and nothing happens. I tried for around 10 minutes and just gave up in the end, oh and I’ve seen the start of episode 3 probably around 15 times now 🤦🏻

Prime seems to have lost its way a bit for me. So many shows/films which aren't included with membership.

Another case of greed. Just how much money do they need to make?

Some will try and defend them. However they had a decent model of £100 a year got you next day delivery, got you prime video etc ... Now it's you have to spend £20 for same / next day . Or it's £2, prime video has adverts .. yet profits were never taking a hit.. just not enough for them obviously

As with everything, charge a reasonable amount and people will just get it because it's simple. I've had prime for a decade I think, it's starting to be much less value than when it started for sure.

Agreed. It's not even as if the shows they want to charge for are top notch and recent! I actually don't bother with it much apart from the prime delivery

In fairness to some of the content (and services) a lot of content that they had initially was licensed from specific content studios. Many of these studios cottoned on to the money in streaming so pulled many of the inclusive licenses from the likes of Amazon in favour of their own standalone service. Paramount, MGM, Canal+ and Universal to name a few.

Not saying it's the case in every situation but for many this is what happened and has resulted in a very fractured broadcasting market.

Good friend of mine from my Sky days, is now a NowTV exec and was talking to me about the complexity of the market last year when we were in Spain golfing.
