Random Irritations

Unless the guy on the ground has a gun, I can't think of any circumstances where kicking him in the head is the right thing to do.
I can, it’s like I said, if he felt his or his colleagues lives are in danger and it’s him against 2, then imo, he has too use any and every method he can to control and subdue both assailants.

You have to take the whole incident into consideration, not just the kick itself.

Would I prefer people weren’t kicked in the head? Absolutely, but I’d also prefer Policewoman didn’t get knocked down with one punch and having her nose broken, there’s definitely been cases of people being killed with one punch when their head has hit the floor.

It's no good..I've got to say it..

Xmas songs..on the whole they suck.
There's less than a handful that, if they weren't Xmas songs or by a particular artist, would be played more than once before being deleted.
And cover versions, as played in Tesco this morning.....Jeez, my ears....
Xmas songs are the #1 reason I can't wait for Xmas to be over.....
And I don't care who doesn't agree 😋

Was meant to be going to a drone light show this evening in Bristol but it has been postponed due to the weather. We can’t make the rescheduled date on Monday so going to miss out, but we can’t get a refund.
On the plus side we have a hotel booked for the night so still getting a night out in Bristol.

Yes drove my car without the radio on this morning because of this dross.🤮

Agreed. It's scary he found those willing to participate so flipping easy. France seems to have a weird take on what constitutes rape and how victims are treated. Hopefully this case will see something shift.
I found it strange that he could only be given 20 yrs as that’s the maximum for rape.
Even when he was involved over 50+ times.

Whilst I can understand the wish to jail him for 1000 years (20 years for each offence,) he is 72 and probably won’t make it past the first 20.

Rape here carries a life sentence which in reality is about 15 years, so in fact the French sentencing is stricter than ours.

Life should mean life in my book

Just had a massive squall come through...a band of rain about a Mike wide with 50+mph winds...
Had to rescue the recycling bin from halfway down the drive..fortunately it was emptied a couple of days ago....
Already calming down again....weather's gone bonkers.....

I’m not disputing the scumbag got what was coming to him.

But kicking someone in the head isn’t lawful.

It's better than shooting him in the head which is what could've happened.

If Armed Police come under a violent and sustained attack, they have every right to be believe their life is in danger and that of every member of the public. These two thickets partly caused the summer riots and deserve everything coming their way. The only sad thing is they'll use every trick in the book to play the victim card. No doubt the taxpayer will be footing their legal bill too.

All in all a complete mess that's been mishandled by everyone involved. The only surprise is they haven't released the news on January 20th.

They certainly did not cause the summer riots. Either fully or partially

Sounds like the one that blew past when I was on the 17th..😬😬

The IOPC case is still on going in regards the officers in question

And sadly it will be for some time. In part because, in misconduct matters, the burden of proof is the balance of probabilities rather than beyond reasonable doubt.

But mainly because the IOPC are heavily biased against the police, and their investigators, in my experience at least, incompetent to the point they couldn’t investigate their way out of a wet paper bag.

As a consequence, officers are left with misconduct proceedings pending against them, long after criminal matters have been concluded, often for years, rather than months.

They are not fit for purpose. Never have been.

Are you saying “ it didn’t happen”?

He kicked him in the head! That’s a fact.
I thought that was against the law even for police officers.

Shooting people dead is against the law. But in certain circumstances the police are allowed to do it.

Come on, you’re better than that. Your view is simplistic to the point of being breathtakingly naive.
