Random Irritations

Come on we all know the BBC is nowhere near as accurate and as unbiased as a friend of a friend or that bastion of English farmers Jeremy Clarkson
For better or worse, it's probably the best source that we have for information.
Which obviously doesn't mean it's great, but the rest of the press (I don't even count socials) have really jumped the shark over the last few years.

Was in Marrakesh for 3 days (2 nights) for a work team offsite and after the 4 lots of hurdles yesterday getting through airport security we headed for the bar - to find there was not one!!!!!!!! Grrrr

Not really surprising in a Muslim country is it?

Dreadful place though, can see how you would turn to drink. 😆

plenty of drink going on in the city so not sure why they want to keep the airport dry
One of the worst trips of our life was to Marrakesh, such a horrible aggressive place, people trying to accost you wherever you walk, getting called names if you walked by, some women just calling my wife “Bitch Bitch Bitch” because she wouldn’t entertain sitting down to look at the tat.
It was bad for us as a couple but 10x as bad for lone females, it’s the only place I have ever been where random woman would ask if they could walk with us for a while to get a break from the constant harassment.
Also I hate to see animals being treated badly but the mistreatment of snakes and monkeys everywhere not to mention a group of adolescents kicking a dog around like a football was sickening.

Oddly been to Marrakech a few times in the past few years and my wife and I have not experienced anything described above. Really friendly people, great food, fascinating history and good golf.

Not sure what people have against the BBC. BBC verify this week just stated the facts about farmers and inheritance tax with no spin, and it is exactly what a lot on here (from both sides) are saying. Are people on here more biased than they want to believe and that is why they don’t like the BBC disagreeing with their views?

"If you don't think a news outlet has bias, it probably means it leans the same direction as you."

That was day one, lesson one when I was a student 40 years ago. Never was a truer word spoken. Things have become more polarised, not less.
