Flu and Covid jabs yesterday. Today I feel absolute .

Learnt my lesson a few years ago. I now keep them at least a week apart.

I find I get a bigger reaction to the flu jab rather than the covid one.

I spotted it, but unconcerned. The meaning can be discerned from the context. It could be an error done in haste - I've done them from time to time.

What does bug me is that "back to back" can not mean the same as "nose to tail" and yet in common usage it does.
Why don't more people use "nose to tail" when it is correct to do so? Has it simply "gone out of fashion"?

"Common usage" is people parroting something they hear regardless of whether it is correct or incorrect.
"I had two nose to tail birdies today" is correct. We need to reclaim it, and make it popular, to replace the incorrect.

Can "shoulder to shoulder" mean the same as "face to face"? I would say not, in general.
Confusion - all is confusion.

So we had a leak few weeks ago. Fully dry now just repainted

The smallest drop of paint got on my shirt. It was watered down as the brush was wet as second coat .. anyways it was paint water basically.. Matt paint so not oil based

I've washed it 3 times , soaked in vinegar, vanish, fairy liquid

Still can see the stain

For crying out load it wasn't that good on the walls

On a neighbourhood website tonight someone has reported they're, oops, there, oh deer, their "blue LandRover Evoque" as "stollen" off their drive.
Best responses, apart from the usual "Scumbags", "Tell the police", "Check CCTV" etc. were "I'm feeling peckish now" and "I'm more of a Yule Log man".
