Random Irritations

I had this in a Tesco car park years ago.
Mine was in for service and I had the Mrs car...wandered up and down looking for mine and getting quite wound up about it
Someone asked if I was ok and I explained...and then realised I was standing right next to it......
Where's the sink hole when you need one....?
Or your care worker?
PS. Have done this myself

Turmeric. If I ruled the world I'd ban it. It's like Indian people got together and went, "there's something missing from our food here, what is it? I know, why don't we add something that stains ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING it touches?" And we eat this stuff, what the hell is it doing to our insides? I accidentally dropped a spoonful of rice earlier and simultaneously ruined my shorts, one sock and the sofa. I don't even know what flavour it adds, I'm certain we could live without it.

Don’t know if this is a random irritation or gladdened the heart, but.
Last week it looked like neighbours Van was being broken into. It was, by his son. Neighbour does a bit of handyman work. He is an ex Bobby. Anyway he was on a cruise and his son said he would pull in a few gardening jobs for a few old dears. He only went and chucked the only set of keys on the drivers door and the lock went click. He was locked out with his Greggs pasty and coffee on the dash board.
So how did he manage to get in. He watched a video on YouTube and within 30 seconds he was in. 😳 what is that all about.

In addition to these conditions, research studies have shown some possible benefits of turmeric for:
  • Inflammation.
  • Degenerative eye conditions.
  • Metabolic syndrome.
  • Arthritis.
  • Hyperlipidemia (cholesterol in the blood)
  • Anxiety.
  • Muscle soreness after exercise.
  • Kidney health.
Apparently it’s cured your anxiety of a stained sock 😳👍

The price that they charged for the last hairdryer I bought my wife, it is a damn good and not cheap present. Sadly she does not go for the bog standard £30-£40 ones. Best part of £200 for the shark one she wanted with all of the attachments.
Missis T had some cloud nine straighteners a couple of years ago. They were not cheap. Lo and behold they started packing up. Someone pointed me in the direction of a guy who repairs them. £25 they are as good as new. They were 2 minutes from going in the bin. £150 saved.

I'll take all of them over the yellow stained bowls, counters, clothes and furniture. 😕

Look on the bright side, the beloved track suit bottoms were spared.

I was still wearing my white golf shorts from playing that day, I couldn't have been wearing anything worse. Not even sure it'll wash out. 🤦🏻‍♂️
If I’m about to eat a curry or similar and my wife spots that I’m wearing a decent pair of light coloured trousers I’m sent upstairs immediately to change into something that I won’t ruin by food falling off my fork or my dribbling 🤪

Tumeric is not the only one

I have been put on new drugs. Got up yesterday morning to find orange/brown spots on my fingers and in the edges of my finger nails which would not wash off. I panicked worried about a drug reaction.
It was not until a few hours later I remembered I had been preparing a stir fry with lots of peppers and carrots the day before. Still cannot get the stains out of my finger nails.

Yet another evil side effect of peppers.
The culinary equivalent of depleted uranium.

It is worth doing the research.

Having watched a programme about the benefits turmeric (from memory)

Tests have shown that the amount of tumeric you have to eat to get these benefits is far in excess of that recommended by sellers

British Heart Foundation is against it's use if you are on certain meds such as blood thinners.

The wife wants me to re- paint the tops of of our 2 keter storage boxes, AGAIN.
Last year I relented and painted them with Hammerite ( wild thyme ).
The wrong paint I think, now it's peeling off.
Any advice on what to use to repaint with a different make and slightly different shade.
Do I need to completely remove old paint. Or just rub it down and paint.
