Random Irritations

On grandkids football duty today. Surely there can't be anymore rain to come down?!!
Took the grandson, early kick off, brought him back. Then out again with my granddaughter, rain didn't let up once.
Thank God for Gore tex and Gustbuster golf umbrella.

Walkers Square Crisps!

Ready salted ones are my favourite crisps but nowadays you can't buy them on their own - need to buy them in variety packs. Basically buying 6 bags of crisps to get the two I actually like!

The only cheese and onion crisps I eat are squares

Same for me - I don't mind the cheese and onion even though it's not a flavour I generally like in crisps. I really don't like the salt and vinegar squares even though I do normally like salt and vinegar. But I just love the ready salted.... and don't normally like ready salted crisps. Weird that.

As I've got older I prefer ready salted now

Used to love salt and vinegar, I still like them I just find them a bit too sharp compared to salted

Trying to buy a van for my son who's decided to go self-employed as a plumber.
Not only is the standard of van horrific, but so is the standard of the salesmen!

I think I might have to nick one.

Foglights......
Either...
A. Devise a system that can sense when they're needed and automatically put them on and turn them off..
B. Educate people that, 99% of the time, they're not needed
C. Do away with the damn things......

Visibility was down to, oh, about 900 yards this morning and I'm getting dazzled by morons with fog lights on.....
Was stuck behind a driver with their fog light on in brilliant sunshine, felt like it was burning my retina out. Got alongside them eventually and asked them to turn it off. The lady said she had been wondering what the light on her dashboard was for.

Proper grinds my gears. It was one thing I always used to stop drivers on the motorway for. The number who use them when visibility is not seriously reduced is ridiculous.

The one which really gets my goat is when they are used in heavy rain. Utterly unnecessary and merely masks brake lights depending on vehicle.

Grrrrrr.

Sadly most second hand vans have been thrashed to the edge of their life and also totally neglected service wise.
Some of us do though look after our vehicles.
Check out the vehicle security, certain Makes and models are honey to the thriving bees to punch through the bodywork’s and steal what’s inside.

Some of you may have seen in the last month or so (been stories on her both on tv and radio) about the Stevenage station cat "Nala" who spends most of her days sitting on the ticket barriers looking out for fare dodgers. Read today that some scum kicked her yesterday. Makes my blood boil.

Getting asked the same question several times a day.

"Why can't we see these documents?" The review status is blank which indicates they haven't been issued to us.
"Why can't we see these documents?" Same answer guys - the review status is blank so they've not been issued to us.
"What about these?" Should I get this printed on a banner and stick it up on the wall or what?

Edit: Just had a fun follow-up question.
"How do we resolve this?" You'll kick yourself.. they need to issue it to us.

Migraines. It hit about 9am with an ice pick being driven into the top of my head. One massive stabbing pain. Now it’s just grotty ache around my right eye, which is watering incessantly, and a the feeling of throwing up.
Silly question, have you had your eyes tested recently. I had a similar issue years ago when I started doing more computer work and after many migraines, I went & had my eyes tested and it turned out that I had a lazy eye, which was causing my other eye to try & overcompensate. After I started wearing glasses, these vanished.

I was chatting to our plumber about this. He was recently on the lookout for a van and said it was a nightmare. Prices have gone up crazily and so many are sheds. In the end he had to fork out more than he intended for a half decent model.
