Random Irritations

Ignorance and prejudice is found across all the generations sadly.
I agree but I feel it improves with each generation, albeit the ignorant now have more of a pedestal with social media. But the vocal minority is just that; a minority. Sadly with this being a golf forum, there will be some incredibly intolerant people.

In defence of the forum when I first joined I did post about my situation regarding joining a ladies section of a golf club and the responses were overwhelmingly supportive. That thread is here https://forums.golfmonthly.com/threads/i-have-a-few-unusual-questions-to-ask.37001/

Had to drive through Bristol centre yesterday evening. The place was crawling with Generation Zs trundling about in the road on those electric scooters, ignoring all the red lights, seemingly not looking before sudden changes of direction, and generally putting themselves at extreme risk. None of them wearing a helmet, either. The stress of trying to keep an eye out in all directions simultaneously left me a nervous wreck by the time it was over.

Reading the forum on my works laptop and having to pick up my phone to follow the football thread due to all the twitter links being posted as they aren't accessible through the works laptop.

The McDonalds ad - again. I guess they know how irritating it is, but it gets folk talking. I turn over any channel when it comes on though so not sure the broadcasters are as happy...

View attachment 48907There is something wrong about a man wearing 3/4 length trousers. Although they are usually paired with a pair of Lonsdale trainers and a pint of cheap larger in this country.
If the PGA just got their heads out of their backsides and allowed them to wear shorts we surely wouldn't see nonsense like this anymore.

Humour exceeded the irritation, but a visitor at St P today parked his buggy on the road by the starter's hut this morning. I drove up in the car and he looked at me slightly annoyed.

"You have taken a wrong turn, you need to back up," he said.

"Actually mate, this is the road to the driving range, and you're blocking it" I replied!😄
