By all means give him plenty of air time on the course but focusing on him chipping on the practice ground when there is lots of live action to see is a bit naff in my opinion.

Do we know for sure that the broadcaster didn't start their coverage earlier than they would usually, precisely to show build up with Tiger once they knew he was playing?

Bit of a nightmare finish for Rory šŸ˜¬

Not been following much golf this week as Iā€™m away but Iā€™ve still been on ā€˜Xā€™ all week, and musing through the forum, and genuinely didnā€™t even know he was playing.
The leaderboard yet again is uninspiring at this stage - Rory needs to make that cut or itā€™ll mean a few European fans zoning out for the weekend.

I think the leaderboard is decent tbf.
Plenty of big names shot under par.

The leaderboard looks exactly like a Tour event should - there are some players that are at the top of the tee - Scheffler , Cantlay , Speith , then there are the likes of Aberg and Tom Kim - itā€™s a diverse leaderboard which is what it should be - donā€™t want to see the same people every event at the top winning

Scheffler 1st in Strokes Gained tee to green.

66th/70 in Strokes Gained puttingā€¦

He is the literal polar opposite of ā€œputt for doughā€ā€¦ If he could just find a middle ground with his putting, he would be achieving peak Tiger levels of success.

Itā€™s clearly very much in his head atm, thereā€™s extra focus on his putts, he is over thinking and over reading everything.

Surely thereā€™s a putting coach out there that could resolve whatever his issues are? Itā€™s not even that he needs to learn to putt well, he just needs to putt slightly better!

I haven't been following his putting or anything, but has he tried anything outside the box yet? Like others have found success with claw grip, left hand low, arm locks, broom handles etc, but he seems to have just persevered with his standard grip, simple blade putter approach like some sort of staunch traditionalist.

Woods is currently ranked a lowly 893rd in the world, but all that can change hugely with a record 83rd PGA Tour title on Sunday.

He is currently tied on 82 PGA Tour wins with late great Sam Snead.

Should Woods win the 2024 Genesis Invitational, he could vault a whopping 839 spots to 54th in the OWGR.

OWGR is an oxymoron
