As usual I was marshalling this morning. Like all thursdays the seniors T off at 9 but with a difference this week, they were playing off the whites. It was the monthly medal. Anyway one of the seniors got to the 10th hole par 3 and put his trolley paralell to the yellow Ts. The gentlemen with the honours went to the white T and seeing the other chap was fiddling with his bag and not really in his way he decided to T off (the chapp fiddling with the bag was happy for him to hit). The chap on the T somehow pulled the ball low and strait on to the back of the guys head who was arranging his bag..........there was plenty of blood but luckily it was not life threatening.
the old chap may need 5 stitches but he nothing more serious I hope.This could have very easily been a life or death situation. I wish him a quick recovery.
