Not looking good at San Siro

We look dreadful at the back. But then I don't think we have played the same two centre backs all season. Every game, some one seem to limp off. When you bung in that for most of the season we have had no left or right backs, then it is no wonder we have a leaky defence.

Wenger won't spend the money on established players because there is no money. It is that simple.

Murph my Chelsea spend the money and we are still crap this year. The trouble is even mediocre players are costing a fortune

Could be worse you could be a Liverpool fan (like me) we have wasted £50million on second rate players Henderson, Downing and Adam and £35 million on a third rate player - the only decent buys we made have been Suarez and Enrique, and there are then questions about how much damage the Suarez saga has done to the Club.

Just sorted my Cup Final tickets tho so not all bad really :)

If you want to offload Torres would gladly do you a swop for Henderson, Downing and Adam

it’s exciting wathcing the battle for the CL places... I’d piss myself laughing if the barcodes got 4th

Could be fun if Arsenal/Liverpool/Newcastle get it and Chelsea won the Champs league as Fourth would lose their place.

I would be happy if we beat Cardiff and Kenny then decides to give some of the kids a game in the league, finishing 6/7/8 makes no difference financially. there are a few decent prospects but they need games

never gonna happen. AVB is a deadman walking

I saw Enrique in the game last weekend against utd and the times he was jumping straight in I dont think him Luiz and Cahill would be a full 90 minute partnership. With regards cleansheets, my lots think thats when the maids have done their jobs

I find the above quite funny -

4th place? I presume you mean to qualify for next seasons champions league........hold on they're already in the champions league but you're saying it's ok to get knocked out cos it'll be easier to get into it again!!

I think what you're saying is getting some cash for just qualifying is better than actually winning the thing, correct?

There is no way they are going through so effectively they are out bar going through the motions in the next game. This gives Wenger a chance to foucs on the 4th place route back in for next year. I'm not saying the cash is better than winning it and I find that an ignorant thing to say. but the realism is Arsenal aren't good enough at this stage to progress much beyond the group stages and maybe the next knockout phase. Get Ramsey Oxlade Chamberlain etc time to mature and develop, get some players back and buy wisely and it could be a platform to build on and who knows get back to the final again. Why not take the CL shilling if you can get it

Looking even worse at the stadium of light and next three league games are spurs Liverpool and man utd can Wenger last until the end of the season

Could be interesting to see who is sacked first Wenger or villas boas

Think Avb's a dead man walking, got a feeling Wenger may just jack it at the end of season.

On another note, why so many spare seats? I know it's on the Tele but Saturday evening at the footie then a few pints? Course their not as passionate about their football as their Geordie neighbours.

They have to do something now.
Effectively playing for a 4th place finish - not what fans are looking for.
Wenger's survived this long on past glories.
He wouldn't have lasted this long at any other club.
They rely way too much on RVP to score their goals. Take him out of the equation and I think the next hioghest scorer has 5 in the league this season. RVP can't keep that form going forever so when he has a poor game or gets marked well and doesn't get many chances, Aresnal can't score.

Something has to give......

Think if they drop out of the hunt for 4th place then he will be forced out. He has some good young talent in Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain but the senior players aren't doing it and he is a long way from building a side capable of winning anything. He's not won anything in a long time and missing CL football may be too much for the board especially the money that brings in

Its terrible isnt it? Arsenal not winning anything for soooooo long.

The problem is that Wenger's success has raised peoples expectations beyond reasonable levels. So what if Arsenal hasnt won a trophy in 7 years. There are 20 teams in the league, what about LIverpool and Spurs - when did they last win a major trophy? Newcastle? Everton? I can go on and on.

Personally I'm pleased with a top 4 place and qualifying for the CL and thats still on the cards.

Wenger does frustrate because he doesnt spend any cash. He wants to do it his way by developing young players. He'll buy in the summer because we need 3 or 4 quality players.

Its not as good as it was but its hardly a crisis.

You can't lump Newcastle and Everton in the same box as the Mans, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs.
They're poles apart.

And Spurs did win the Carling Cup a few years back.........

Hey, if Arsenal want to go on coming 4th in the League and calling it a good Season - be my Guest, Fill your boots.
If I was a Gooner I think I'd be wanting a bit more......

I really don't get this happy with finishing in a champions league spot pish.

What does it get you as an Arsenal fan?A bit of cash but no silverware.

If this was 20 years ago when there wasn't Champions League would football fans of supposedly 'elite' clubs be really happy to finish 3rd or 4th? I'll tell you the answer.....naw.

Maybe I'm different but I want to see my team win trophies be it Celtic or Berwick Rangers and finishing 2nd is no good to me.

Arsenal paint themselves as an 'elite' club yet they have won sweet F.A. for years now yet the fans seem happy and that puzzles me as does the continued support of a gaffer who granted produces some decent individuals but hasn't produced a good team now for years.

"While these are not vintage years to be an Arsenal supporter, they will inevitably have another day in the sun. For supporters of once-glorious clubs like Nottingham Forest or Leeds United those days may never return. "

Why will they "inevitably" have another day in the sun?
If it hasn't happened to Leeds and Forest.............

I think it's right for fans to have expectations.
If your team can win the league or FA Cup isn't it right to expect that it should happen again..?
It seems that it's only Arsenal fans who can't see past the Demi-God that is Wenger.
