Most Common Cause of Penalty ?

It does seem a bit harsh.

I've said it before, and heard it lots.
I'd bet 99.9% of the time it isn't meant as advice as the only time I've heard it is when someone wants to putt out and you just don't want them to rush to get out of your way.

Ive been guilty of saying this I must admit, would never think it was against the rules!

Next time I will say hurry the feck up! ;):D

Well it might be the most commonly broken Rule but I doubt whether it is the most common cause of a penalty. How many people are actually pulled up on this?

Not many get pulled up as most do not realise it is breaking the rules. Have to admit, I was gobsmacked when John told me and gave the same response as I have read above.

Ya see this is a bug bear to me , if i told you to take your time with that putt thats advice , if you say il finish & i say yea take your time thats not advice on the putt thats politeness to me .. its the same a work away or yea no bother , its just an acknowledgement of the player telling you he was going to finish ,
