Did that myself a few years ago when going on a golf weekend. Picked up by a mate, loaded all my golf gear into his car and we set off. Two hours later my wife phones, “ do you know your weekend bag is still in the hall?”

I had to buy golf clothes and casual clothes for the two nights away.

Mate of mine did that on trip to Ireland this year, got kitted out in a charity shop

Clubhouse leader with 35 points, although expect that isn’t enough to pick up the trophy.

I ended up in third place.

37 took runner up and a low handicap lad posted 2 under and 39 points.

What sort of competition is it when low handicap players win? I would be writing a stern letter to the organisers!

It was a tough day and to play under par, he deserved it.

I was chuffed to come third out of 20, who'd all qualified from a load more players. The staff were exempt from prizes, but some decent players amongst them too.

Cracking course and facilities - played many years ago but forgot how good it was.
