Started 14.2 and am now 10.9. Quite pleased and will hopefully have a realistic chance of single figures next year.

Was 12.2 and am currently 10.8. Slow progress but all self taught. Might take the plunge an go for a lesson this winter. Next year will be my 6th year golfing and feel that for me to get into single figures I need to not be just practicing but practicing the correct things from the eye of a coach not just the YouTube videos I watch :-) although they have helped me a fair bit through the last 2 years.

Got my first handicap at the start of January of 15.0 had a good run from the start of May by the end of June I got down to 7.9 iv gone up a few since then and levelled out out 8.3 was hoping to get down to singles by the end of the summer really pleased to have achieved it so soon

first HCP allocated 15.0 in January and down at 7.9 by June ????? - that must have been a ten stone lead sombrero you were wearing when Playing For your Handicap :D

Lol I know it seems that way but not at all I started last April been having a couple of lessons a month since then and I was coming down gradually when I got to 10.9 I shot 6 over in the next two comps witch took me to 9.9 then they did a ESR of another two witch took me too 7.9

No change for me as yet, but I'm through to the final of one of the club matchplay comps, so I'm expecting a cut if I go on to win. Also, I wasn't far off a nett 2 under last week, so if I keep that up I'm sure the comp sec will lop a shot or two off ready for winter!

Up 0.6, was looking forward to this season but then injuring myself in April and being out for 13wks hasn't helped, playing catch up now.

Well I've just wiped that 0.6 out and come down additional 0.6 with a nice 1.2 cut yesterday :D

I've not voted as neither matches my run. 10.2 in January, then 10 straight 0.1's to 11.2, then a a +5 round saw me cut to 9.8, followed by 4 more 0.1's to see me back where I started in January. Still time to try and get it down again!

Started at 6.9, currently 6.9.

Two 0.1s (missed buffer by one shot each time), one 0.2 cut (beat CSS by one) and a succession of buffers - probably eight or nine. Extremely consistent but also incredibly frustrating.

Given the crap weather, which has made golf a bit of a misery for a lot of the "summer", and a new-born baby, I'm reasonably happy with the handicap. Two qualifiers left for me so time for a small change yet.

8.3 up to 8.9 but I have no complaints really. I just haven't played as much this year compared to recent years. My course is closing and its condition is deteriorating by the week. Its just not inspiring me to get and play.

2015 is a bit of a write off, looking forward to a brand new start in 2016!

Joined Cooden on an "inactive" 13 handicap. Third card of my qualifying trio gave me 11.8 but a steady stream of dross has seen me drift out to 12.2. Haven't been able to play in as many qualifying comps as I'd like this year but I'm setting a target for next year to try to get to 10 if I can.

Out of the 102 that have voted so far I am the 1 who has gone up 2.1 or more :(

Utter utter utter garbage season for me, 7.0-9.1 with only one buffer round.

Living the dream!

As it stands +0.4. Disappointed overall as I had hoped to drop at least 2 shots this year. However, swing changes early on meant that the first 3 months saw me rarely play to anywhere near handicap. Considering that I have played in every qualifier going I have done reasonably well to keep the increase to less than half a shot and there is still time to get a decent cut.

Had a good year handicap wise, which has fallen from 4.4 to 3.7. Not played so well in the latter part of the year. I got down to 4 last year for the first time having played at 5/6 for the last ten years or so. At the ripe old age of 57 I feel it's quite an achievement, nearly down to 3 but I think that might be beyond my limits.
