Losing weight/fitness thread

For anyone struggling with sweet snacking....it's probably not a revelation or anything, but I've become quite fond of mixing greek yoghurt (either 0% or 5% if I want a bit of luxury haha) with protein powder and adding either some fruit OR my new favourite is crumbling a biscuit or two on top. I used protein powder from the protein works as it's by far the best I've tried and tends to be pretty good value for money)

Hits the spot and a decent portion is about 300 cals for 30g of protein or so.
Great way to up your protein and it’s so satiating.

Greek yogurt, some honey, nuts and the odd biscuit or chocolate broken up is my go to in the evening.

eaten a pain au chocolat and cronut from Lidl this morning....so not going great today.

Also went out last night for a few beers and some brisket with all the sides and dessert 😅

Was going to go swimming at lunch today but absolutely not feeling it, so going to give it a miss methinks.

Friday got my long run in, 12 miles averaging 8:47 minute miles. Not too sure where another 14.2 miles at that pace are coming from at the moment :P

Weigh in after week 5 of the program at the gym down to 94.6 kg. Down from 103 kg at the start. One week left would love to get to 10 kg down over the 6 weeks, but my coach won't reduce my total calories at all. So not to sure I can drop 1.5 kg this week as deload one for marathon training.

Just don't tell him ;)

First “Sprint Session” of 5K training plan, normal warm up and drills followed by 4 x 400m with 1 minute rest, all to be done 7:15-7:30 pace, did them, but I’ve decided I’m definitely not a sprinter!

By all accounts this session builds to 14 x 400m😱

Just back from a funeral. 7 or 8 pints and a takeaway on way home. Since the turn of the year, I’ve been to 3 Boro home games, pub for a couple of away games, 2 funerals, a 21st, a golden wedding anniversary, two evenings in the pub and a darts night. Apart from the above, my calorie intake is quite regimented day to day.

I’ve also religiously done weights 3-4 times a week, cross trainer 2-3 times a week, skipping session twice a week, plus the odd swimming session. As well as maintaining >10k steps a day.

I weighed in yesterday exactly what I weighed on January 1st. Ha with clarity only a gallon of strong lager can bring, I can see the issue. I couldn’t miss any of the social events, which have slowed my progress. Although I feel a lot fitter. Just hoping for a quieter next few months.

Yesterday, when I was in the office out of no where (as in I didn’t hurt it in any way) my foot/ankle/achilles twinged. Didnt think anything of it at the time. I’ve had an awful nights sleep. Whenever I move my foot I get a shooting pain, which is getting worse.

My foot doesn’t appear swollen but
walking/weight baring feels difficult. No idea what I’ve done and no idea if I can/should walk on it. Really weird. I’m gonna get some ibuprofen and paracetamol in me which will hopefully at least take the edge off and reduce inflammation.

Gutted as I’m approaching 700 days of walking at least 10k steps and looks like the streak could be over before I reach 2 years.
