Losing weight/fitness thread

So my first task from my PT is to buy resistance bands, whey protein and supplements I can't pronounce.

My diet plan looks severe, so with starting Monday, I need to empty the chocolate drawer this week :ROFLMAO:

I swapped to a vegan protein powder. More protein and less rubbish in them. You should still be able to eat chocolate though. Just a smaller quantity I guess.

Weights tonight

Shoulder Press Machine - 4 Sets
Close Grip Row - 4 Sets
Close Grip Lat Pulldown - 4 Sets
One Arm Dumbbell Row - 3 Sets
Single Handle Lat Rows - 4 Sets
EZ Bar Bicep Curl - 3 Sets to failure

Really good workout.

My wife has ordered the stuff - she knows whats what in terms of additives etc.

I eat well anyway, but I have to drop another 5kg for the tandem ride in 6 weeks, so will go through the taste pain for that period.

I get a bit wary when someone (especially a PT) suggests supplements from the off when starting to train. To me it is almost cheating and the training program should be sufficient to meet the goals. It seems like he has a set program for all/most and is not doing anything personal for you.
However, if it works for you then good luck.

It's not just a start, but following quite a few questionnaires / chats and you have to remember, the most exercise my body is used to is when i squeeze one out on the toilet, so more attributed to that.

We're talking Omega 3, Ashwaghandha and suchlike you can buy on the high street.

First CrossFit injury :-( Started double unders yesterday and really beginning to get them when my achilles decided to play up. Think it's from the run after Sunday's session as it was a bit tender after that. Disappointing but need to finally accept my heels will not take running. There are always options such as erg or ski erg. Hopefully just need to lay off the high impact stuff for a short period whilst it settles down.

Haven't been overly going at the weight loss past few weeks. However still tracking my food each day. We both slip into snacking but when you add up the calories it's still much lower than before so would explain why the weight has remained pretty much the same throughout. At 113.4kg ATM which is still 12.6kg lighter than boxing day

When I'm off with the wife I like to cook us breakfast but it's changed now, chicken chipolatas (full of protein and 66 cals for 2) mushrooms, 2 bacon , scrambled eggs, 1 potato waffle and 1/4 tin of beans ..(wife has no waffle and toast instead and she doesn't do the egg) 496 cals for me , very filling plus the beans, chicken sausages and scrambled egg are full of protein

My go to breakfast on the days without this is scrambled egg on toast (with extra slice when at work for Bovril on toast as a filler) or boiled egg and toast

Putting as much egg into the diet as possible

Gym last night

Leg Press - 3 Sets
Leg Extension - 3 Sets
Seated Calf Raise - 3 Sets
Bent Bar Tricep Pulldown - 3 Sets to failure
EZ Bar Bicep Curl - 3 Sets to failure

I was a bit more careful over Xmas/NY this last time.
The year before, I tipped 12st.
Weighed myself 1st Feb this year at 11st 11lbs.

Today I am 11st 7lbs.
Just need to take a couple more lbs off over the summer to be the same weight at 65 as I was at 30 when I stopped playing football every week.
