Losing weight/fitness thread

He apologised for taking me on when going away, blah, blah. Restarted the programme, sending more food choices, wants a video of my exercised to critique and will make an effort. I'm not sure I can be bothered. It is an app, laid out with food and exercise - otherwise known as a rip off.

Very miffed currently.
What's the app called? Sounds similar to the app I had when I had my trial with a PT

Not delivering what? Need a few months no?

Anything. He's on Insta doing one to one video's etc. I paid two weeks ago, he went playing golf.

Left me with two meal prep choices for two weeks and told me to buy some resistance bands.

Rang Monday - I forgot to add more. I forgot to post excercise videos. I forgot to do anything. Oh and I have actually forgot to do what I promised on Monday and it's now the end of Wednesday.

I can pay a fiver a week for a diet plan at Slimming World - he's £300 a month.

Binned.

I'll sort myself out. It's not rocket science and I've lost a kilo and a half caorie counting, walking at least 8,000 steps a day and some cross training.

Nah mate, fitness is what's required for the 250 mile in 3 days tandem ride a month away - I only want to drop 5 kilo's, but so as not to die, I need stamina and my legs need some work.

Just ask lance Armstrong for some of his gear 😂

£300!!! Wow think I'd be annoyed if he'd gone away and given you very little.

Day on the beer at the races today. However, I was up at 5:30am to get my weight session in. Been for a swim and just preparing poached eggs on sourdough. Feeling more confident with fly’s and raises now. But only marginally increasing weight on those.

That's madness.

A lot of online PT's slack off once they get the sign up. Since Covid so many idiots have done a PT course and jumped on the bandwagon too.

It sounds like you're well on track anyway? My advice is keep doing what you're doing and spend some of that £300 on sports massages, especially nearer the event.

Thanks and yes, the getting a PT started the self motivation, so just keeping going now.

Having a date to work to concentrates the mind and then see where it takes me afterwards.

At least it's served a purpose!

What are you doing the ride for? Charity?

How do you like the Hyrox?
We’ve got a couple of gyms here that do it, quite fancy giving it a blast!!
I’ve done men’s doubles twice in 2023, loved it. Loads of different range of motions. Strength and stamina.
Girl from work wants to do mixed doubles, apparently I need to remember she’s strong even though dripping wet she’s no more then 65kg’s. So we’ll probably look to do it at the O2 later in the year or maybe abroad. I don’t mind as long as she puts the effort in.

I really want to get under 80 minutes, first time my partner had a dodgy calf so limited in running. Second time my mate dropped out with a week too go 🤬
Coach at the gym stepped up, but at the time strength based and running he kept cramping up. So best time is 84 minutes.

I’ve deliberately avoided reading this thread for a few weeks (embarrassment at not applying myself through April I guess)
Just couldn’t be bothered with anything, but with hols looming ever nearer I’ve started May with a better attitude (fear of failure factor I think) and am exercising again and consuming less crap, 5 weeks to 1st day of hols…
