Losing weight/fitness thread

I’ve deliberately avoided reading this thread for a few weeks (embarrassment at not applying myself through April I guess)
Just couldn’t be bothered with anything, but with hols looming ever nearer I’ve started May with a better attitude (fear of failure factor I think) and am exercising again and consuming less crap, 5 weeks to 1st day of hols…
Very similar to me, I’ve not been at it the last few weeks, but back to work and time to get back on track!!

God this is slow going. Lost 1lb this week, 14st dead on. It's not the exercise, I've run 30 miles this week, need my mouth sewing up.
Anyway, 8lb to go, in 10 weeks.

So you're bang on track, well done, keep it up. There's always rogue/random week(s) thrown in just to test your resolve (y)

Unfortunately not, I've only lost 12lb since January 🤣

Ha, didn't realise I was replying to two of your posts in diff threads :p anyway forget the Jan to April bit. Like golf, forget the last shot, its the next one that counts
In 1st week of May you lost 1lb, so a 1lb a week is proven doable, 10 weeks to go... Today you are lighter and fitter than anytime this year (maybe longer) what will you do tomorrow?
Steps and exercise are great for fitness and burning off a treat but you know its the calories in the gob that decide on weight loss gains

Should do a Golf Monthy challenge, such as have a 20 week losing weight challenge. Post weight every Friday, someone like Orikoru can create a spreadsheet and league table like he does for the Premier League predictions :ROFLMAO:

Lowest in 2 years, I think I need something else alongside running, swimming and weights I think and a needle and thread for my gob.

There's definitely a gap in the market since Weight Watchers went bust, Orikoru's Fat Club 🤔
Sign me up 🤣

ParkRun this morning, said to me friend would run with her. She was going to plod along, but convinced her to try for sub 30 minutes.
I just ran with her for the first 3 miles, then pushed her at the end. She ran her fasted time since she's had kids in 28:32.
She now wants to try for sub 28 by the end of the year. Which I think she will do easily :D

This has made my day, and golf was a good walk ruined today :P

Lead a club run last night + a commute from a friends and back. About 9 miles testing my ankle out. Wasn't quick at about 10:30 minute miles.
But mainly off road with a lovely stretch along the itchen navigation.

Set off to do a marathon today, easy first 6 miles. Steady for the rest to get too half distance, but could feel my left hamstring.
So decided to stop, definitely could have carried on but don’t want to get a serious injury.
Time for Halfway’s 2:14 definitely not quick, but was looking to get a 4:30 ish marathon

Time to reset and get back on the horse. 5 days away golfing in Spain and really feeling it tonight. Think I'm going to go back to a mix of spin and dumbbell workouts rather than just going into the gym. Sort my eating out and look towards our holiday at the end of July as my target.

When we was on the cruise in Japan, I was gobsmacked how many people were well overweight. We went on one trip which was 300 steps up and down when going to a temple. It nigh on killed some folk who went on the trip. Not only that they were suffering the following day. What was eye opening. Fat jabs was mentioned quite a few times. It seemed an easy fix to some. That said, a jab that was designed for diabetes and now helps weight loss combined with the extra benefits that are now being known. I can understand why they are so popular. Talking to a good pal the other day and she said it really does help to numb her appetite. She has lost 1 1/2 stones in weight and counting. She has gone through her GP and it is. Ousting her £180 a month. Said it is worth every penny.
