Losing weight/fitness thread

Went to support friend today who was doing her 10th marathon in 10 days.
Ended up running a marathon myself 🙈
Elapsed time was 4:59:46, moving time 4:45. Had to have 3 toilet breaks 😂
Walked about 3 miles, which I’ll take considering I’ve only been training for a half

Well done (y)

Weights last night

Shoulder Press Machine - 4 Sets
Close Grip Row - 4 Sets
Wide Grip Lat Pulldown - 4 Sets
Single Handle Lat Rows - 4 Sets
Rope Pull Lat Rows - 4 Sets

Good workout.

Exercise wise, I’m doing well. Weights 4-5 times a week, swimming 1-2 times a week, the odd skipping session and long dog walks every day (averaging 17k steps a day). Plus lighter nights mean I can get the occasional 9 holes in. Been a busy few months with holidays, parties and family celebrations. Meaning diet has not been great, or more accurately not consistent. So I’m getting fitter/stringer but weight pretty much staying constant. Still off with our daughter so we’ve planned days out this week which will include eating out etc. Will switch back on fully next week.

Well done. For me that's most important.

Feels strange but I haven't been to the gym this week. Worked away a couple of days which changed my week, walked 6 miles one night with a mate and playing golf tomorrow so still a bit active but I have missed it. Eaten sensibly and only had a drink last night so done ok that wise.

Locked in now, head down for my holiday in July.

14st 1lb, with a target of 13st 6lb.

Did 10.5 miles this morning, in 1hr 31...I think I could've carried that on for my first sub 2hr half

Walked the dog and walked to Molineux after this, fell into bed having done 33,000 steps.
Up at 7am to do 5 miles. Need to get into that bikini on holiday.

Just seen that Alex Yee has completed the London marathon in 2:11, 2nd fastest Briton and came 14th in his first ever marathon. He has trained for it alongside his usual triathlon schedule. Amazing effort

I hate my new 'regime'.

Paid upfront for a three month course with an online PT, then he went away on a golf trip the next day lol.

App based, I have two choices of main meals throughout the day, so wifey prepared 7 of each, but jeez, I am bored. I'm sure there's more, but my forst check in with him is tomorrow. He will be told I'm not at all happy.

It's a simple enough programme, with x calories, broken down into carbs/protein/fats etc and I am way under that. 8,000 steps a day - done - cardio two times a week, upper body, lower body another two days - no idea what happens on the other three.

I'm a kilo down of a 5 kilo initial target, but I could have done that on diet alone.

Will see what he says tomorrow...

Gym tonight. All upper body dumbbell and kettlebell session with 10 minutes of stretching at the end. Hips are still really sore but my back was feeling great until i played golf on Sunday!!

What did he say?

What did he say?

He apologised for taking me on when going away, blah, blah. Restarted the programme, sending more food choices, wants a video of my exercised to critique and will make an effort. I'm not sure I can be bothered. It is an app, laid out with food and exercise - otherwise known as a rip off.

Very miffed currently.
