10kg in 6 weeks seems a bit extreme. You may be suffering a bit come the bike ride.I've committed to a personal trainer, with 6 weeks to go until our charity tandem ride, aiming to drop 10kg.
Known the trainer for a while and it's a complete three month plan including diet.
Paid upfront, so see if I get past the first day.
You're a machine!!More crazy CrossFit shenanigans this morning. Sets of deadlifts/burpees alternating 21/15/9/9/15/21 (90 total) followed by a 1.5 mile run. Time limit of 37 minutes. Did it in 37.10 and seriously thought I was going to puke.
Not great at rest days but taking one tomorrow!

5.8 miles is still a cracking run, I feel you get more out of the run when it’s a struggle, one thing is guaranteed during the longer ones is that you are going to have moments, the runs that are a struggle build resilienceHad one of those runs just now where somehow I've set out to do my usual 7 miler but I've walked in the house having done 5.8 instead. Just couldn't get going.
I've watched The Masters coverage every night until the final putt has dropped, so it probably that. I'm strictly an 8 hour a night man.

100%. Sleep is really underrated as an enhancement to performance. Or the opposite without enough of it.
Yes, I think this is the main element that's affecting me and has done for years. I'd love to sleep 8 hours a night. Never happens!100%. Sleep is really underrated as an enhancement to performance. Or the opposite without enough of it.

I'm off this week. Stayed up to watch the golf so went to bed around 1ish. Was wide awake at 6:45..
My last coffee is around 11am when I'm working and don't really drink fizzy pop. I tend to wake up, think about really random things and be unable to drop back off.I've stopped having caffeine after midday and it does seem to be helping a bit. Worth trying if you have coffee/coke etc.
Gym tonight
Barbell Squats - 4 Sets
Leg Press - 3 Sets
Leg Extension - 3 Sets
Seated Calf Raise - 3 Sets
12 Pull up's - Most I've ever done in one go
Legs absolutely destroyed![]()
