Just really a follow on from JustOneUK's thread on yearly spend.

How many of you have permanent lockers at your club ?

If so, do you have to pay and how much.

Our place has two sizes.

Small, basically fit your shoes and some clothing and some small odds and sods in. For £50 per year

Large, big enough to take your clubs, clothing etc etc. For £100 a year.

If only i could get one!!!!!!!!!!
Into my 4th year this year and still on a bloody waiting list....i also know of 2 guys still on it a year longer than me so it doesn't look like i'll get one next year either!

I have one that is big enough for trolley etc that was purchased outright about 15 years ago for £40 so I don't get charged annually.....never ever use it though!

The club I work for charges £15 per annum and again they are big enough for everything to fit. Maybe I am out of touch but £100 seems out of this world!

I see what you mean dodger. Probably why I managed to get one so easily. Although most the full size ones are taken.

I asked at the right time, a group of guys defected to a another local club and released a number of lockers. Otherwise there is usually a waiting list.

Perhaps I should get one at your place :D

Its £30 for a small one for your shoes and £60 for the big ones that easily take a trolley bag (plus my practice balls, a tube to pick them up, my tees, and a dozen AD333). Its ideal for me as I can leave a pair of shoes and my clubs in there and as I can dress casually for work i.e I can wear a golf shirt (not too loud) and jumper I can commute straight to Ascot and be at the club (door to door is only about 45 minuts). It means in the summer I can be on course by 6.00 at the latest. I tend not to leave my clubs in there in the winter especially if they are wet and prefer to take them home and let them dry.

£20 or £40 for the privelege of having your clubs stored where a little group of toerags know they can rob them from!!

Been a spree of locker thefts at local clubs during the last couple of years. Had swipe card access and upgraded lockers fitted recently, still wouldn't want to have a locker though.....clubs are meant to stay in the car boot just in case you get the opportunity for a game when you least expect it.

Clubs obviously never get nicked from cars :D

We pay £32 and I wouldn't be witout one. Don't always go to the club in the car, can stay and have a few drinks etc, just all round less hassle knowing everything I am going to need is at the course.

Not a day goes by without people randomly smashing open car boots on the off chance that a set mud caked of Howson Derbys might be inside!!

On the other hand, golf club lockers used for the purpose of storing golf clubs, with loads of them all in the same room??? Hmm what could possibly be inside??

You'd make a terrible thief Fylde......which is a compliment of sorts I suppose :D

£20 a year for one that can squeeze a golf bag in but usually i just leave driver, (too long for car boot) waterproofs, shoes etc and first come first served to free trolly hut.

Mines is £10 a year and can fit a big tour bag and shoes etc in them. I can also leave my trolley in the locker room to so its pretty good. £100 for a locker is just wrong in my opinion.

i pay 15 quid for mine, big enough to get my clubs and shoes in. we also have a wee shed where you can leave powakaddys and get the battery charged up -50 quid a year for that

100 quid sounds a hell of a lot for a locker!!

£10 a year, for enough room to fit my clubs in a stand bag. There inst enough room for my GoKart or trolly bag, someone told me that it seems a member has stolen a score card and brolly holder off his powakaddy!! Since then I havent taken my trolly as it seems the club wont address its own red hands and if I want a drink I have to leave them in there or go straight home.

Do they build you a new one for you each year? £100 you just can't be serious. £15 up here and I am negotiating a second for my trolley and practice bag,
