As for Torque that’s more like it as it’s a long term commitment. I am a big fan of the Majestiks little sticks initiative they put on fo kids at events as well.

It’s absolutely positive and it’s great exposure for the kids that’s already play in that event and may attract a few that already play to turn up. But I wouldn’t call that growing the game it’s a little loose in its context.
If he’s then going to invite the wider community and put in clinics for non golfers to attend and learn then absolutely that is growing the game.

Yeah I was being a but sarcastic. That said, this will be the third year - the first year it was just the local juniors playing, but last year quite a few came from outside of the area - so his involvement definitely grew the event - and growth is growth.

It that case then I’ll concede that as growth, if his influence is bringing from outside the local area then it’s a good start towards growth.

Anthony Kim has signed a deal with Malbon to wear their kit when he's not wearing the 4 Aces gear. Malbon have produced some bespoke AK merch to go along with the signing.

I mean fair play to AK he deserves everything as he’s worked hard to earn it. But Malbon has to be one of the most overpriced and trashy brands on the market.
Nothing they sell looks remotely decent imo, but more power to him cashing in and earning sponsorships.

Well he can play other tours, and if he has a few more solid finishes I suspect there will be major appearances in the offing as well.
He's put money into Malbon, so I'd imagine he'll be wearing the brand as much as possible.

It’s more lifestyle type of clothing, hoodies, t-shirts etc. without seeing the deal I’d assume he’ll be wearing it on his instagram posts, reels, YouTube videos etc and if he gets into major they’ll provide actual golfing attire with his signature AK logo and the word Malbon is 3 foot high lettering across the front.

Fair enough. And John Rahm is in a financial position, and of such a high ability and profile, that he can pretty much do as he pleases.
I bet 99.9% of workers would love to be in his position, and certainly the vast majority of pro golfers, where they can just have the attitude "I will do what I want". I'd love to phone my company today and say "I will pick and choose when I want to come into work, not up to you"

As you say really, and if any of us 99.9% of workers did perform our chosen work roles to a top 4-5, world class level, I’m pretty sure most employers would let us dictate things like our schedule, location attendance etc

But the tours still support many highly talented individuals themselves. So they have a balancing act to perform. They obviously can't just fall into line to do exactly what one or two extremely talented golfers demand.
I'm sure there are some sort of negotiations and some compromises may be met. But I was just pointing out that it would be a lovely position to have enough money and talent to stick the finger up at an organisation, even one that probably helped you get to where you are now in the first place. I'm sure many would dream that dream.

Yeah I’m agreeing with you.
Just saying if we consider our own jobs, be it golfer, doctor, warehouse worker, bus driver, plumber, cook etc etc etc and there’s 100’s of thousands, millions even, that do what we do. But maybe only 5 ppl on the planet that can do it as well as us & produce the results to match. Any negotiation with our employers is very much from a position of strength and dam sure my employer wouldn’t even consider dictating which office I worked out of that week (& to the up and coming talented workers the employer would just say ‘get better’)
Plenty folks already throw a hairy fit if they’re made to go into office once a week instead of WFH, and without disrespecting them I’m gonna suggest they are not in the 0.1%
