Jobs

Jobs? What jobs? Took early retirement last year; started playing golf for first time one month after. 2/3 games per week (mid); not getting much better at golf but the 4/5 mile walk is doing me a power of good.

5 days a week9-5 telesales.Couple of trade shows a year..5 actually,so get time in leiu(?) course is 5mins away.In summer can just drive up and walk on...the advantages of a private club eh?
Play every weekend sat&sun weather permitting(as long as I do the hoovering, take hr to the shops, clean the windows,do the ironing, and generally do as I'm asked(told)
Life can be good(if you learn how to play the system!!!)

Driving Instructor (cars) so self-employed. Leaves time to fiddle the diary to create mornings and afternoons off. Also keep the clubs in the car - if I get a cancellation I might just squeeze 9 or 18 in.

If you can squeeze in 18 in from one cancellation, how long are your lessons? What is the deal, complete three lessons and a guaranteed pass? Only 15 hours of training required?

I'm a director of an IT company. Good for golf as it means I get to pick my own hours.
However I always seem to have lots to do, so end up working early and late so I can squeeze some golf in the middle!

Just noticed where your from surefire, where about you play? I am over in Leatherhead if you ever fancy a game.

If the cancellation is a 2 hour lesson and I have 45 minutes between the previous and the next then it can give me enough time. Going round on my own only takes me 2 1/2 hours or so and I can always come off if time gets tight. Lessons are anything from 1 hour to 2 depending on the person - don't get the next bit about the deal? Most people take 30-40 hours to be ready for the test and then they can still screw it up. One of my girls failed on Monday - first 10 minutes she checked every mirror at the right time and then she forgot for the next 25.

Label printer, working 12 hour shifts. The three week rota goes like this.....days in work are...Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday then four nights Monday to Thursday. This gives a lot of time to get to the club when HiD hasn't found something else for me to do. :(

Just noticed your post too. You're not too far from me, I am in Guildford. Being a member there I play quite a lot at Clandon Regis, which is your side of Guildford too! Where do you play?

I'm a white goods engineer (Bosch/Siemens) and work monday to friday , 8hrs a day.....officially....so its weekends mainly. Can sometimes finish early...unofficially....and get an evenings round in...and i work one saturday a month giving me a lieu day in the week which i often use .
