The Jamega Tour is back at Aldwickbury Park for the 3rd time today and tomorrow.

2 of our young amateurs are playing in it.

I've played with both of them in the last 2 medals and both playing really well.....one of them is currently 1 over through 9, but still waiting to hear how the other is doing........

1 under won it the last time they were here for the winter event earlier this year. Expect the scores will be much lower though due to them being able to attack the pins in the wet conditions.

Going to try and nip out and watch for a bit at lunchtime.

Link to leader board which should be showing the scores later......our guys are
Steve Payne & Theo Saddis

Not heard of this Tour before. What is it?
hi stub.....its a Tour for aspiring professionals...many playing in it have played on the European tour at one point or another......if you follow the link in my email to the scoreboard you can find out further info there.

The Jamega Tour is very well run, with some decent prize money. Best of luck to the local lads!
Thanks Mary...young theo struggled a little and finished on 78...Steve fared better and carded a 4 over 75 which was only spoiled by 3 bogies in the last 4 holes..........only 7 players out of the 72 field broke par with quite a few 10+ over.......one poor guy had a 10 on the par 5 5th........currently 5 under is leading.......

Watched a bit at lunchtime and had to laugh when one guy 3 putted from 10 feet, then helicoptered his putter 40 yards to the next tee and then kicked the crap out of his trolley all the way to the tee.....priceless....don't think he was happy....:o

Best of luck to the lads tomorrow, I hope that they are enjoying the experience. I always think it's good for the talented amateurs to get the chance to measure their game against those who try to make a living from it.

If any of the Jamega team saw that guy throwing his toys out of the pram he will be hit with a fine or ban - they run a tight ship.
