Idea for a comp,honesty needed.

I might be misunderstanding and am completely wrong, but a lot of posts read like they think the competition ends this Saturday.

I've taken it as meaning the last day to start is this Saturday, then you see how long a streak you can get, however long it takes.

Am I wrong?

Nope Gary you are quite right. Looking forward to getting my round underway on Saturday. One rules clarification question PJ - as the rains are upon us do winter greens count? If not and I have a round at my place where we often have two greens on temps if I play a full round do the 16 holes on normal greens count or is it a void round?

I then started again on Saturday and lasted 4 holes before a three putt.
Then on Sunday I managed 1 hole.

Take whichever of these scores you like as I think I'll call it a day on this one!!

Having (temporarily) got rid of the shanks, I would have started last Saturday. However, after my first putt, on the first green, some one said I could have what was left. Hand shot out like snatching sweeties from a kid. Pure reflex, couldn't stop it. I guess this ones not for me.

I 3 putted our 11th last saturday, so 10 holes for me.

I did not 3 putt the remaining 7 holes though, so does that not mean that those 7 carry into this week?

So If I don't 3 putt at all on saturday, I would therefore have gone 25 holes without a three putt.

I would be happy for the 16 holes to count,but no more than 3 temp greens.
So to clarify 15 can be the lowest round score,and only for the tempary greens,
no other reason.

For simplicity lets keep it to once you 3 putt your out,and you start again.
And to answer somebody elses question,saturday is the last day of entry.
But not the last day to score,your score carrys on til you 3 putt

Once you 3 putt your out and you start next round not the next hole.

Just arranged a game for myself tomorrow. Playing Saturday as well and might have a game Friday so I could have 3 chances to go 18

Just had a look on SS2 and the best I've done this year is 71 holes, but in my last 20 rounds I've only had a 'clear' 6 times.

I generally 3 putt once or twice in a round. The thing is some courses have much harder greens than others.

Had a stinker yesterday...7 holes before a 3 putt but then the floodgates opened and pretty much 3 putted everything after that.....didn't help that the greens had been vertidrained and the ball was doing some funny things on the green.

I have to say, during my round on Tuesday, all thoughts of a score just evaporated. The main concern was not 3-putting and it almost took over the entire round.
Even Birdie putts I'd normally have gone for, I lagged as I didn't want any chance of missing by too much.

Today Fragger and CVG both 3-putted the first and I failed to finish so I guess we're all out!
