Really?
Do you know this Guy's game?
How do know it's the wedges at fault, Vokey, Cleveland, Ping, etc etc etc...???

And wouldn't I love to be able to hit a Wedge 130!

Actually, that is/was a SW for my mate. But was knackered under 110! Taken him a couple of years to acquire an 80 yd shot and still a bit dodgy in between - or down to about 60!

I get the feeling someone's not a fan of Vokeys, but that certainly doesn't mean they are poor clubs. and plenty of folk like and score well with them!

Last year i had this exact problem , was driving me nuts , now im not a very technical player at the best of times (never) one day out of the blue i just noticed i was not setting up correctly now i take alot more care in my set up and my results are improving .. just have a think the next day your out re set up

how will this help his slice ? confused!

The OP also pulls some shots.
Therefor his clubface isn't pointing in the same direction for every shot.
It's quite difficult to hit a pull with a weaker grip and much easier to hit a slice with a strong grip.
So I would guess the slice comes from an out to in swing with no release of the strong grip and when the strong grip is released with the out to in swing you get the pull.
Weaken the grip to neutral, groove the fade and lose the pull.

Slice....weaken grip...... ....

Yes, sorry but for me this advice not right.
If the OP worried about grip, then definitely go and get it checked over properly to make sure it's a sound neutral grip, and while there check body alignment is parallel left of ball/target line and posture is good.

But the shots described are down to swing path (and possibly a too weak grip in the first place with the left hand in particular) and the tempo and rhythm of the shot not being smooth acceleration and one paced tempo by being controlled by the body turn and arms being in sync with that body turn, and with the length of swing not being mirrored back and through, and also very possibly not maintaining posture (spine angle and vertical height) from takeaway through to impact.

This is pretty much the same advice Bob gave me when I joined and got me hitting something like

big leap!

if vokeys, get rid- still stands

How do you come to that conclusion , I got 52 & 56 vokeys so I get rid of them if you agree to pay for new ones of my choice , agree or not ? ...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I get some new Vokeys thanks .......................EYG

Whilst you can never rule anything out. With the OP talking about his wedge 130 in, if you've got a strong grip and out to in swing path (this path has to be the case) you'd be unlikely to get anything on the green at all, if aimed at target as he was it seems. {but with an 'opposing' grip or weak one it's pretty easy to pull a full wedge shot as well as slice one with this path} As the very closed face with a strong grip plus path would start you left and the ball would go even further left and you have to be very strong to hold this off at all so it combined with frequently sliced wedges as well.

But I guess as golfers are an imaginative and resourceful bunch :) ...... so without knowing a little more detail and without seeing the swing and the grip up close .............
