Normally have a dozen in the bag of varying brands and types. Not sure why but if i am having a bad round I like to change ball type.

I have about the same, 12-14 ish but all the same make, wilson tx4. I did try some srixon but didn't like them much.

Trolly bag, full. Carry bag full. I must have a look, out of interest tomorrow, maybe clear a few out. I always carry to many. So from now on I'm only going to have at the most 10 balls in any bag..........I never thought of that before, I just always keep the balls in whichever bag I'm useing.

I usually take 6 new and a couple of spares just in case.
If I am playing in a texas scramble I take a dozen so I can lash out if need be.

Sorted out my bag for Luton Hoo this morning and there was 6 new prov1's in there. Plus a couple of used ones that I like to use for bounce games. Wouldnt dream of putting any more in , wont use them even when I was starting out I didnt lose that many. Crikey , how many can you lose in one round ? 2 ? 3 at most surely

Just put a dozen new Zur-s in the bag now that the ground has firmed up and you can get the benefit of a better ball. Also have a couple of older ProV1

Got about 6 "competition" balls + about another 6-8 okish balls for provisionals or when I'm hitting the ball so badly that I don't mind losing it!
Must have a count up of decent balls - might need to get in the marketplace but hopefully the Titleist test balls will turn up soon.

wow... more people carry more balls than they need than i realised! It's quite amusing that everyone knows that they carry too many, but carry them anyway.

As a newbie I take loads, they are all ramdom ones. I lose so many per round that is costs me a small fortune!
I like to be prepared so I think even as I get better I would always carry a dozen in the bag.

6 balls is enough. Even if you hit one in the rough, chances are you're going to find another anyway.

Probably more than I need. I have a ball pocket, it has balls in it. I would guess at the moment about 25 as I think I had 8 or 9 ProV1s and then put a dozen Tour 330s in as I've swapped ball. There's a few crap one's I found as well. I think this is the 1st time I've even thought about it. I don't tend to lose them very often so could probably take some out but that would involve remembering to check there were some good ones in there before I went out
