Garmin fault

I've had my Garmin about 4 years. I've just put my rechargeable batteries in and it's not coming on. Does anybody know the lifespan for one of these? Cheers. Just what I needed on Woburn eve!!

Can you connect it to a computer and do a download from the Garmin web support page?

Have the batteries been on the cold? Mine de charge when it's cold

if its a g5 , mine did same .. never worked again & i was using new not rechargables .. had it bout
3-4 yrs also ..have g6 now . class bit of equipment

I recharged batteries and it is fine now. I put in Kodak batteries fromPoundland and it wasn't having it.

Got my G3 out for the first round in 6 months yesterday - nothing

Got home, put another set of new batteries in, no luck. Plugged into computer and updated software, works fine when plugged in. But unplug cable and use new batteries and nothing.

I've sent an email to Garmin, let's see what they say

Scorecards will not be deleted on any of the devices.
To perform the master reset:

1. Power Approach off
2. Press and hold on the upper left corner of display
3. Power device on while still maintaining pressure on display
4. Release upper left side of display when Do you really want to erase all user data? message appears
5. Touch Yes

The Approach is now reset. Leave the device outside with a clear view of the sky for up to 20 minutes to acquire satellite data.

Have tried that several times but to no avail.
Might try it later while it is plugged in however
