Played my first round yesterday as a senior with the seniors.
On a new course at my new club and I must say I was made most welcome. The 4 ball I played in were all nice blokes and after the round I met some of the others and was warmly greeted.Mind you they did take an extra 50p off me for going in the water on the 13th but I wont let that spoil an excellent day. Thank you the members of Rudding Park Seniors

Welcome Nev.

Nearly all my golf is played with the seniors. Great banter.
My only complaint is that the new seniors are young enough to be my sons. They belt the ball while I can only swing and hope.

Always nice to be made welcome!

Welcome to the forum, as above, great to have some more seniors about.

Pull up a chair Bignev and make yourself at home. Do your Vets play friendly matches with other clubs? If so, I can heartily recommend getting involved if you have the time.

I played with our Vets today in a friendly comp against the Vets at another local club. Opposing team's captain was none other than Mr Tappin Snr. Another bandit! :p

Well TWM, if the new seniors are young enough to be your sons, then you must have some golf under your belt. Well done, pal! I'm not yet a senior here in Spain (55 is the threshold) but it's looming. And welcome to the golf forum Nev!
