First comp of the year, and a good one!

As the title says, had our first comp this year on a full course. Comp was a pairs betterball stableford off 3/4 hcap, but I kept my own scores as well. Ended up shooting a new pb 87! So thats one of the seasons targets (break 90 in a comp) done and dusted the first week. 5 over gross on the back nine, which included an 8 on the 18th after snap hooking a five iron straight onto the clubhouse roof The frustrating thing is my short iron play could have been better, I left a few shots out there still. Suppose I better set a new target of 85 now!:thup:

Well done fella! A good start to the season.

I won our 2nd Division stableford yesterday with 39pts in blustery conditions, following up last weeks victory in a greensomes comp! Promising start for me!

Nice shooting, I hope your contributed to most of the card as we get a right rollicking for finishing holes when your not in it. Contributes to the slow play when a BB comp turns into 4 ball match.

You hit more than enough good balls last Thursday to make me unsurprised you hit a pb this weekend, especially with the hybrid or maybe 3 wood you hit very well off the tee on some of the holes?

Well done mate, at least you had something to lift you after your team lost to a last minute goal, I had a golf free weekend and a 4th minute injury time winner to deal with, despite the board only showing 3 min!

Nice shooting PB early doors I think you need to be looking at 80 not 85:thup:

I bet it is still wet out on the forest aswell isn't it?
