Finally....

At last I can take the monkey of my back, played today and returned to the clubhouse having broken 90 for the first time in a medal.

It's a board comp with the top 16 qualifying for the knock out stages. Maximum handicap today was 18 so playing below handicap. When I left the clubhouse there wasn't many left on the course and I was in 5th place, fingers crossed I have qualified

Well done. Get into the knockouts and do some damage. I assuem once the matchplay starts it is off normal handicaps with full difference.

Don't think I'll get a cut, so still some way to go to get to 18, one consolation is despite leaving a few shots out on the course I held it together for the whole round, started double bogey, double bogey but finished par par. Putter was blowing hot and cold today

Even though max handicap was 18, I think for handicapping you'd be measured against your normal playing handicap so there may be a cut there for you.
