Does every club have one....?

If you've asked on a few occasions to be let through and been denied

Ask the guy for his name

Pen a letter to the committee
It's then their issue to deal with it
He should be asked to explain actions and be educated on the right thing to do

We have a guy who plays on his own a lot and is slow, he also has a habit of wandering round the course so he might go from the 8th to the 13th and then the 11th. It is annoying being stuck behind him and more so if he suddenly appears on your hole out of nowhere.

You should only cut in, if you don't hold up anyone behind.

If someone cuts in on me and holds me up, they have no standing as far as I'm concerned.

I've done it in the past as a single ball, and if I have somehow been caught, Ive always offered to let them play through.

Why on earth would someone flit around like that? I think I must be mildly OCD or something, as the idea of playing holes in the wrong order horrifies me.:D There was one course I played last year which wasn't well signposted and we accidentally missed some holes out and had to go back and play them in the wrong order - put me right off the course and I've never been back!

I do it if practising and to make sure I stay out of other peoples way. Yesterday I played down the first then practised on the 7th green, played the 8th, went across to the 10th green, back over to hit some pitches at the first then played back up the 9th

A couple of committee members were walking up an adjacent hole while it was happening "yes he's a real pest isn't he" was their response later.
He regularly loses holes on a 4 ball, seeing is believing mate 😂

Then your committee members you mention here are total asses
Any committee member seeing an altercation on the course should have acted, find out the issue, sort with both parties, as that type of behaviour surely shouldn't be encouraged at the club
