I've had two or three rows with him over the past couple of years, he is an absolute arse. Won't listen. As I say, he is doing everything he can to take deals away from me. I sold his Son's car about 18 months ago, I'm on 10% commission of the nett profit in a deal.
He jigged the figures around so that his Son got a decent price back from the garage and after all costs came out of the sale I actually earnt £3.82 from it.
The fecking valeter earnt more than me.

2 years ago my firm gave us like a bunch of slaves to a new firm under Tupe rules. The new mob immediately flaunted those rules and set about making us leave our jobs by any fair means possible so they could take on new staff that did not have emotional ties to the old ways. None of us have left but I and the others have never ever hated work so much in all of our lives. Our manager can not be described on a public forum because the language I would have to use would not be acceptable. Suffice to say I wish him the most foul death imaginable the man is a bully and a tyrant with no people skills whatsoever and is still hell bent on getting rid of us all one way or another. If I could get away with it I would gladly stick one on his chin.

Perfect. That's exactly how I feel. As I say, hate is a very strong emotion but it's how I feel. Dislike is not strong enough. I didn't go on the Christmas Dinner at work because he was there. Small firm, so I would have either been sitting next to him or opposite. Phil the mechanic asked why I didn't go, I said "I have to work with the bastard, I don't have to socialise with him".
As soon as he walks in the office I can feel my hackles rising along with my blood pressure.

Even our biggest customer hates him after being told that they were lucky to have us to supply them and if they didn't like it they could piss off somewhere else (they can't it's a very specialised product)

don't think I've actually hated one though there's been a couple I've despised.
One was lazy, slope shouldered - everything was too much trouble for him. one of the 'I don't want problems, only solutions breed' - so why do we need you?
Another was a thug, and held grudges - and if he didn't have one he'd invent one.

I've never really had a problem with any managers, those that I didn't like made no difference to me as I just went in to do my job - however, if they started screwing around with my money then that would be a different problem altogether. I'd simply stop doing these favours for him and just do your job, the one you are getting paid to do.

After me an the Mrs lost our jobs I managed to get a PT job with a man I used to sub contract to - and from the first Hour I hated the man - He thought I should bow to him and was sly / snide and a total arse.
Initially I was employed to look after his pricing - but I was way more experienced than he was and seen major flaws in teh system, told him that x, y & z where mistakes and should be looked at asap. He told me 'its all right I am the MD, I run this all, I know what I am doing'. Totally pissed me off as I seen him going bankrupt a year before he did.
The man was HATED by all his staff and factory staff, I have never despised a person until I met this man, never have I wanted to clobber a person as much.
I was lucky enough - one day I cought hime doing somthing illegal - I just walked out the door, and the wife never killed me. Eventually he went into liquidation, not plesent especially as he closed a few others too.

I don't hate my manager, in fact, he is a smashing bloke BUT he is as thick as sh*te in the neck of a bottle. I am battering my budgets and am well ahead of last year (140% YOY) but they refuse to pay bonus because some accountant who set the budgets screwed up with their forecasted margin I should bring into the company. They have admitted it is unfairly high but they will not yield on this. It has cost me £5k this year.

This sounds horribly serious, mate. Very tricky situation, but it sounds like work is driving you to the edge of depression at work.
The only thing I can suggest is the old 'constructive dismissal' line.
You'll need to work out how much you'll need to keep your head above water, and talk to a solicitor ASAP to make sure you are keeping the right records.
But this guy is almost certainly guilty, it's a case of making sure you don't let him wriggle out by keeping a note of the wrong stuff.
You might only get a few grand payoff, but you'll be eligible for loads of benefits while you're looking for a new job.
And it'll give you a mental boost to know you got the last laugh.
