Do you remember your first club comp and if so how did it go?

I was playing off 15, I hacked my way around and got to the turn 16 over. I made birdie on 10 to calm the nerves then went on to play the back nine in 1 under, to finish bang on my handicap of 15.

The thing is, the back nine was no easier because it was a nine hole course. Golf is crazy.

Sure do I still hold the record at our club some 35 years later.

Unfortunately I had the worst score that’s ever been at our club?
