do you putt with a glove?

The only difference is in your head.
But you feel it helps then carry on.
I doubt very much whether, at our level, it makes one iota of tangible difference.
Mine stays on, always has.

it pissed down alot today and i didnt put on a glove. wee spare towel inside my bag to dry my hands and i was good to go.

I take mine off for putting. It somehow feels nicer to me but it's probably all in my head as it's what I've always done.

I leave it on for chipping though. The grip feels too small without my glove on. Again, probably all in my head.

My glove goes on as I step onto the 1st tee and won't come off again until I walk off the 18th. Unless I am rolling a fag. Have you tried rolling a fag with a golf glove on???

reason i ask is because today i made a concious decision to take my glove off every time i held the putter, and i had the putting round of my life, i sank 4, 15ft'ers, i never left myself, longer than 3ft from the hole when lagg putting, didnt 3 putt once!

was it the lack of glove!?!

do you guys have a preference? for the future i will not wear a glove when i have the putter in hand!

I used to putt with a glove on, but seeing as I practice without a glove, I thought it best to try and mimic my practice.

TBH I prefer the feel of it, but not sure if it's helped me putt better.

If I am wearing my MacWets I keep them on all way round (nightmare to take off 2 gloves to putt)

I usually remove the gloves as a mental reminder that the shot I am about to play is more about feel than distance, ie chips, pitches and putts

Never have worn a glove for putting or close chipping. I never used to wear a glove at all when I first started, and when I started wearng a glove, never felt comfortable with it on for putting.

Always.

Only possible difference it makes must be in between the ears.

Just practised this theory on the putting green. 20 balls with and 20 without a glove. Not a great deal of difference. Only thing I could say was that without the glove I felt the strike more than I did without but that didn't affect the line or pace.
