That sums up my view, now retired there is always tomorrow. If it’s raining before I go out, no I don’t play.
If I’m out on the course and it’s starts there’s a number of factors that come into play.
Whatever, it’s no big thing. There’s always next time…
- Do my playing partners want to stay out? If they do, irrespective of my score, I’ll stay out.
- Equally, if I have a stellar score, I’d hope someone would stay out to record the score. If they don’t, I’d be disappointed but accept their decision.
- If it’s torrential, inc. the greens/course showing standing water, I’d want to go in.
- If there’s lightning, I’m off.
This.If it's going to be biblical then no. If it's just regular rain, then waterproofs on and I'm out.
I'm not sure you can live in the north of England and be precious about playing in the rain.
^^^ What he said.If it is a comp, yes. If in a 3 or 4 ball social, and it isn't forecast to be too heavy, probably
But forecast looked awful today, was in a social 2 ball, so we decided against it
