So where do you draw the line then chaps?
If you are not especially good at your job, should you have to wear plain or understated clothes/suits?
Not great at football, but really love playing the game, should you stich to some plain black Umbro boots, instead of the nice new Nike's?
Should less than stellar cyclists stick to a cheapish bike, and basic equipment?
The logic on display by some makes no sense. If colourful attire is not for you, fair enough. But why on earth do you seem to think that people should only wear the stuff if they are good players? And why would you then judge someone who isn't a great golfer for wearing it?
Why do you have to draw a line? The dress code is there, as long as you're within it, wear what you want and don't worry about everyone else
