Turkey for a change this year.
My wifes cousin who is a veggie is staying this year so our usual leg of lamb has been sacrificed as m'lady thinks a turkey is more veggie friendly. [womens logic]

Our table of 11 is now 7 as my eldest daughter will be working over the holiday up in Aberdeen and they will all stay up there.

Four bird roast for us. Chicken, Turkey, Duck and Goose, sprouts with chestnuts, crispy roasties, creamy mash, roast and creamed parsnips, thin strips of carrot heated through with butter, plenty of other veg.

My parents, my better halfs mom, my oldest daughter and her son.
New dog makes it a great day all round

I think the new dog will put on a few pounds with all the leftovers from 4 birds between 7 adults!!

As usual we get a Turkey joint from the shop as it is only the wife and I that will eat it, our wee girl will have a wee bit and the 2 boys will probably have their fave xmas dinner of chicken nuggets. :)

If I had a choice it would be tacos but as the wife's aunt is cooking its the standard "turkey and trimmings" :(

I dislike a Sunday roast so the Christmas meal is just a pile of veg for me, at least they cook extra greens for me :)

We're doing Christmas for the very first time although there are only 5 of us so it's basically not much different than a roast. Have gone for a Heston Turkey Crown given the numbers plus will have all the trimmings!

At my Inlaws for Xmas Lunch
Put on a V. good meal...........always buys the biggest turkey poss..........
My wife & son will stay there overnight, so she (HID) can enjoy a Glass or 2, whilst I head home around 430 and feed our Dogs, and sleep at home

Up Boxing Day morning, walk the Dogs, then a Game of Golf with some friends planned around 11am, play, have a Pint, then head back to Inlaws for a Feed, and a few drinks............the Missus drives home

Last couple of years we changed things a bit by digging out the BBQ and doing the cooking outdoors. Some nice steak from the butchers carefully cooked, some nice beef tomatoes, mushrooms, onion rings and hand cut chips....what more could you ask for :)

Certainly gives the neighbours something to talk about, especially two years back when we had 10" of snow on the ground.

Go the whole hog and get some Aussie hats and Hawaiin Shirts!

Fill up a paddling pool as well for added confusion.

MIL's for me, dinner will be awful company will be great.

Cooking my proper Christmas dinner on Boxing Day (duck with all the trimmings).

Still haven't decided but will probbly be lamb done in the slow cooker for hours with real roasted potatoes, next to a big pan of Gluwein. The house should smell gorgeous all day. :p

I like your Style Mr Boal!!

Fragger's good with the Barbey - an idea for next year!

Round my mums in the morning with the wife and daughter having a big old breakfast with my 5 brothers and sisters an step brother and sister plus various partners. Then off to the in laws for Turkey, Gammon and a huge bit of beef with all the trimmings. LUSH

normally 12 of us at my sisters start with canapes, then full blown 4 or 5 course lunch selection of wines and a few bottles of bubbly, nice brandy after bit of a kip then cold buffet for tea, sorted.

Just the two of us so we'll get a medium sized crown and HID will do her wonderful roast spuds, crispy stuffing balls and the trimmings. Glass or two of wine, and maybe a cheeky beer in the evening. I have to be careful these days with booze. I miss going to the pub with my old man or our local on Christmas Day and really miss the Christmas Eve party at the local. Christmas day is beginning to feel just like another day

Ordered a fore rib of beef today for our Christmas dinner from a local butcher, just need to decide on what veg we're having.

And what about the others?

I'm working so mine will be hospital cooked turkey and ham. Might just have a small amount to eat in work then have a full dinner at the parents when I get home. So that'll be turkey, ham, all the trimmings at about 8:30pm
