Guy I play golf with has a Skoda estate which he quite likes. We bought a Suzuki Vitara about 16 months ago, more than happy with it so far. Paid £21K or so for it? Never had a Suzuki before, but very pleasantly surprised. If you are trying to keep the price down, I'd give it a look.....doesn't have the snob appeal but I'd buy it again.

When I was looking at the options, I did find that, generally speaking, an SUV / Crossover had less boot space than the equivalent car. I thought about the Skoda Karoq and whilst it's a nice place to be, it didn't have the capacity of the Octavia or Superb. By all accounts the new Octavia is an absolute cracker.

As ugly as any other big SUV but probably better value than most.
I like the Tuscon, looks very Audi for a Hyundai price, at least from the front. A new Tuscon is coming out in 2021 and you might get even better deals on the current 'New Tuscon' then?

Looks like an Audi, is that a compliment?

I like Audi since they had the original Allroad Quatro., has a nice street presence.
Never had one myself, only ever drove Ford (Fiesta, Ka, Focus). But in the last 10 years Ford got really ugly, so once I upgrade the Tuscon is high on my list.

Skoda Octavia, "says" my neighbour. He has a young family (2 kids) and swears by them. So much so, got rid of one and got a newer one. They do look good.

Had to google suzuki vitara as I had no idea what it looked like. Nobody is ever going to accuse you of buying a car based on looks!

Although to be fair the new version is a massive improvement on the old ones...

I like the looks of older suv type vehicles better. The newer ones might get better gas mileage, but I like that classic boxy shape. The last car like this we had was back in snow country in the US

. The later issues of almost all these types of cars are getting that "squished" look. Back in the late 80's I had one of these....which I loved
